Shame on you people!!! Yesterday my mom went into this Safeway to buy some items on my grandma's United Healthcare Healthy Food Card (UCard). The cashier made my mom feel like she is a scammer and told her that the card is expired, but it's NOT!!! Card expires December 31, 2023 and my mom used the same card in YOUR store earlier this month. My mom always shops at this Safeway and she just came back from her cancer check up and you treated her like dirt! Just because your checker or manager doesn't know how UCards work, or your store no longer accepts them, it doesn't give you a right to treat my mom like a thief or a scammer. SHAME ON YOU!Oh, and after she left Safeway, she went to Bartell's next door and used the card just fine!!! Edit: Just spoke with Lee, the store Manager. He was apologetic and said he will look into it. Thanks, Lee.

This review pertains to the pharmacy only. I've used this pharmacy for at least 6-7 years and have been reasonably satisfied. I pick up my rxs once a month. I don't know what has happened there but over the last few months, things have gone WAY downhill. They don't even answer the phone quite often. I get the same meds every month, but every month they have to order 1 out of the 4. So I wait to get the text that shows all 4 rxs are ready. It was supposed to be in yesterday but still shows only 3 are ready. I have tried calling them literally 10 times today, no answer. I called customer service but all they can do is give them a message( and I know it's not their job so I just said don't bother) After this round, I will be taking my pharmacy business somewhere else *The only reason I gave 2 stars instead of 1 is because a few times I've gotten lucky and a friendly, helpful person picked up the phone

Let me start by saying round of applause for the Starbucks crew. Those ladies put up with so much, while keeping a smile on their faces. I go there daily to get my chai tea latte and every single day I'm greeted with so much happiness, and I am able to have my morning conversation! Melissa, Sophia, and Kaesha are the best by far. I love Sim too, on the days that he is there! Love my crew.

Do not come to this location if you need to go to the pharmacy or if you do, be sure to not get helped by Johnathan. My girlfriend left the store in tears because of his condescending and rude attitude. Got to the point where another guest had to step in and defend her. After working a 12 hour day she went in (9/26) to pick up her prescription that she got a text notification that it was ready at 9AM and will be restocked TOMORROW. She came in at 7PM and he told her that as of right now she cannot pick it up as it has been restocked. When she asked if she could still get it he scoffed and replied with a condescending tone saying she should have came in earlier. She came in on the same day it said it was ready and came in 2 HOURS before the pharmacy closed. The Safeway itself is good, always seem to be really well stocked and the workers are usually really friendly, just not at the pharmacy. Additionally I have knowledge that he's has about 3 or 4 complaints about him. Never going to that Safeway if he's going to be there. I've worked retail and other customer service jobs so I definitely have dealt with unruly customers but the way he treated my girlfriend is unacceptable. If you're having a bad day because of XYZ don't project those feelings onto other person cause they too could be having a bad day.

Beatrice at the pharmacy (pharmacist intern) had horrible customer service skill. I am not sure why a big pharmacy like Safeway hires her. She never smiled, was rude to the customer, and seemed to sweep customer away . I hope she will not be here permanently at Safeway

Went in for fresh greens & accidentally left my phone in a push cart, Boyd was quick to help and notify me when it was found! Top Tier customer service and I was able to bring my wife her fresh greens ! Thanks Boyd

They no longer want my business! I am disabled and need a motorized cart to shop. Last month, tried to shop here numerous times..AND NO CARTS AVAILABLE! Which means I have to leave without shopping. I used to shop here 3 or more times per week, spending hundreds of $$$.... But no longer.

Best place to get a Starbucks, in Renton.. best Starbucks I've ever had to be honest. The Safeway is alright, but I go in just for the Starbucks, the best crew they've had in a long time. I hope they all stick around.

I really enjoyed my first experience at this Safeway. I came in for my Covid booster shot, and received a 10% off coupon to shop afterwards. The vaccine went well, and the shopping experience was great - the store is very well organized and parking was plentiful. The only thing that I was confused about was what to do when I arrived for my vaccine - I saw a waiting room and went to sit down before realizing I should have checked in with the pharmacy staff. After 10 minutes of sitting, I figured out the protocol and sheepishly walked my paperwork over to the counter before reclaiming my seat. Once I did that, I was seen within another 10 minutes. Easy in and out!

Although it was quite late, and they were restocking shelves and close to closing, I had a pleasant quick shopping experience. Upon walking in, I was immediately greeted by a woman stocking shelves with a, "hi there!" That was a nice and pleasant surprise for sure. And then checkout, the cashier was equally nice and greeted me as well! It was so weird but also nice because I'm used to being treated rudely, and like I'm an annoyance for shopping there. ESPECIALLY the other store on Sunset. The older light skinned black lady with the short salt and pepper hair is ALWAYS rude as all get out, and rushing you out the store. But not at this one in 4th. They could teach the Sunset store a lesson on how to be kind. Thank you to you two ladies for still practicing kindness and also exceptional customer service!! You never know what someone is going through, so thank you for doing a great job!

I don't know where to begin! I go to Safeway everyday.. 1st stop, Starbucks where my favorite barista/manager works... Melissa! She makes THE BEST COFFEE I've ever had. You'd almost forget you were drinking Starbucks. She's always so friendly and helps make my morning better. 2. The deli is where I buy my lunches for work. And the short little lady, patty, is always so welcoming and helpful. 3. When I get off work I often stop back in for dinner. And grab me some fish from Drew. He's amazing, and has the best personality ever! 4. All of the cashiers have been extremely friendly to me and helpful with any questions I have. Stephanie is a hoot and I love her and her constant conversation! Thank you everyone who works at Safeway for putting up with so much during COVID! Y'all rock and I'm so thankful for everyone in that store.

This review is only for the grocery pick up service. We have ordered a few times for this location and super easy. The staff are so friendly on the phone and fast -- even in pouring rain. Thank you for keeping us safe during COVID with our grocery pick-ups.
