Sterling's Restaurant - Queensgate

We came in for an early Father’s Day meal on Saturday night. The service was excellent. Rock was extremely professional with amazing customer service. We will definitely be coming back.

Delicious churro french toast. Would have hoped that it would have come with eggs or sausage/bacon for the price, but it is what it is.

Stopped in for lunch on a Monday. Everyone had crepes and enjoyed them. A little pricey overall but I think it's fairly upscale for the area.

Very nice restaurant, it was our first time to a Sterling location. Food was good, service was great, all in all a good experience.

I asked politely about no hand sanitizer dispenser being by the front door (handles). The manager lady says, “We’re not required to do that. We supply soap and water in the restroom.” Well okey dokey lady. On the next visit I was asking about the salad bar. “One time through, piled high was no problem” she said. Then, when I had a little potato salad left, and wanted to take it home, she said “no” that’s against our policy and there’s nothing I can do about it”. So you’d rather throw it away rather than let a customer take a little potato salad home. AFTER you said that filling the plate was perfectly fine. Sterling’s used to be part of our routine. My dad was friends with Jim Sterling. We Definitely won’t be going back anytime soon, if ever. … Andy Wellington

Im very upset with my experience yesterday we took our family to have breakfast at one of our favorite restaurants and one of our daughters who is three years old was crying on and off for about 10 minutes and I was doing everything I could to calm her down when I was approached by I’m assuming a manager who told me that multiple people had been complaining about our daughter. He didn’t even introduce himself and he just walked away. The waitress was super understanding she came and brought my kids some chopped up fruit to try to calm them down and when she noticed that I was crying, she told me that she has a child and understands. After this experience, I WILL NEVER RETURN! It’s sad how quickly people forget what it’s like to have small children.

I raise cattle and direct market Beef out of the Hermiston area. I’ve also traveled in Sales for 25 years and ate at a lot of really good restaurants. Between raising and marketing our beef and eating out, I’ve become a bit of a “Beef Snob”. I saw the Butchers cut steak and had to question whether it was authentically a Hanging Tender or just a house name for something else. I got really excited to find out it was a Hanging Tender. It came medium rare to perfection and had an outstanding plate appearance. I Loved that it was only slightly seasoned to let the meat carry its own flavor. There was a small sprig of I think Thyme that delicately flavored the small area it was on for a really nice taste bud surprise. The Hanging tender was genuinely tender. All of this for $25.99 entree that had a lot more value to it. If they had a smoker for just a touch of smoke seasoning it would have been lethal great in the best of ways. The fried pound cake desert hit the spot. We will be back.

A friend and I had dinner tonight, which was amazing. I have to say the most pleasant part of the night was our server, he goes by the name of Rock. Rock went beyond more than any server I've had in a very long time to make us feel comfortable wanted and make sure our meal was a delight. I greatly thank him for the recommendations he gave us, which turned out to be awesome. I would ask for this server by name again anytime. Once again thank you Rock for your great service.
