We came for breakfast. We placed our order and less than 5 minutes later she came out with the food. Immediately i got nervous. Because fresh breaskfast takes more than 5 minutes to make. It did not taste fresh AT ALL. The hasbrowns & bacon were cold. The waffle was fine. But the English muffin for the 'not' eggs Benedict was sooo extremely soggy and tasted like it was dipped in butter. Also cold. Waitress was friendly and we still tipped her well.
This is your reminder that even if the food is bad, your server isnt the one who made it. They still deserve a tip.

This is one of the best places in Richland. Only excessive seagulls near the patio dining was a diversion, but they kept their distance. Their drinks are excellent.
Mia... and the server whom is in nursing school were so very kind!
We had a very good experience with staff... our steaks were fabulous and the view perfect!
We came here for my birthday and we waiting 2.5 hours before getting our food. It took a ridiculous long time and unfortunately felt like a wasted day. Highly disappointing. We got our food, put it in a box and left we were so over it. To note, it wasn’t crazy busy either. Our waitress was very nice but too about 30 minutes to come back to us each time. To put it into perspective, my glass stayed empty rather than full. Also the crab cakes suck.
If you're visiting from out of town during the spring or summer, I highly recommend this restaurant for its lovely river views and outdoor seating. They have tables that can accommodate groups from 2 to 8 people, with larger groups easily seated on the right side of the outdoor area.
Inside, you'll find a salad bar as you enter. I personally think they serve some of the best clam chowder in town, and I always enjoy their loaded potatoes. The restaurant boasts a diverse menu with a wide variety of options, making it a great choice if your group has picky eaters or varied tastes. There's also an indoor bar and booth seating available. Even if you opt to sit inside, the large windows still provide pleasant views of the outdoors.
For parking, you can use the spots directly in front of the restaurant or the ones available on the side. Additionally, after your meal, you can take a leisurely walk in the nearby park.
Great service, Great drinks, Great food, & Great atmosphere 👌 😀 Bringing the wife next time 100%
Always great food here but I scratch my head when there is no Cholula hot sauce and you have this?? lol. C’mon now 😂

NO OPPORTUNITY TO TRY FOOD. Arrived at 4:45pm to enjoy the beautiful atmosphere on the patio and splurge off my diet. We were seated immediately, but after waiting for 15 minutes without even a glass of water it was clearly time to go. The server at Budd’s obviously benefited from this fail. I will always forgive a hiccup in meal prep, but service….
The food has always been fantastic but the last few times the service has been HORRIBLE. The most recent time we were there was for breakfast and the server came by exactly 4 times the entire hour and a half or so we were there, first time was to take order and drink order, second was to drop off drinks, third to drop off food, and the fourth was to give us the check which we had to ask for three times before it was brought to us. Im hoping by next time(if there is one) the wait staffs been trained up a bit better
I asked politely about no hand sanitizer dispenser being by the front door (handles). The manager lady says, “We’re not required to do that. We supply soap and water in the restroom.” Well okey dokey lady. On the next visit I was asking about the salad bar. “One time through, piled high was no problem” she said. Then, when I had a little potato salad left, and wanted to take it home, she said “no” that’s against our policy and there’s nothing I can do about it”. So you’d rather throw it away rather than let a customer take a little potato salad home. AFTER you said that filling the plate was perfectly fine. Sterling’s used to be part of our routine. My dad was friends with Jim Sterling. We Definitely won’t be going back anytime soon, if ever. … Andy Wellington
Im very upset with my experience yesterday we took our family to have breakfast at one of our favorite restaurants and one of our daughters who is three years old was crying on and off for about 10 minutes and I was doing everything I could to calm her down when I was approached by I’m assuming a manager who told me that multiple people had been complaining about our daughter. He didn’t even introduce himself and he just walked away. The waitress was super understanding she came and brought my kids some chopped up fruit to try to calm them down and when she noticed that I was crying, she told me that she has a child and understands. After this experience, I WILL NEVER RETURN! It’s sad how quickly people forget what it’s like to have small children.
cara was a fantastic waitress!
