We were the only 2 people there this particular evening. The smoke, from the fires surrounding our area, had the air so bad to breathe that we weren't surprised - our drive home was literally more like pea soup fog, rather than smoke! If it hadn't smelled, you'd have never known otherwise! Our bartender was a returning employee from a year Prior (he'd left the area), so was familiar with my friend and the four of us (the cook included) chatted and laughed until we closed the place down! (All restaurants and bars are closing at 10pm yet, during this Covid-19, so it was an early evening!) Lol! The bartender knew his drinks well and even made me some yummy trial flavors, when I told him what I liked. The food was only fried & broiled food that night because the fan went out over the stove/oven, and with the extra "smoky flavor" in the air, I couldn't blame them! We had some bacon, cheesy things that were heaven, some cheesy tot things that were just as good, & I don't recall the last one, but they were all equally good (the one with bacon being my obvious favorite, to anyone who's ever had bacon anyway!? Lol!). I've also always liked the laid-back, old-timer feel here also. One of my local fave's, I'd have to say.
