Sportsman's has become our most regular eating spot. Being in downtown Ridgefield, its a great place to be, still feels small town. The Sportsman has amazingly good food and the service is great, they remembered my drink by our third visit... thats rare. Im not even a french dip person and I just cant stop ordering the thing.
I recently visited Sportsman’s and, unfortunately, my experience was underwhelming. The dining area seemed somewhat dirty and disorganized, which made it less inviting than I had hoped. The food was average, and the French fries tasted like the oil may have been overdue for changing. My burger was lacking flavor and didn’t really stand out. Overall, it wasn’t a terrible experience, but it wasn’t memorable enough to make me eager to return....
Sportsman’s Public House is a Ridgefield staple. I eat here regularly and it’s my go-to spot for client dinners. Great food, welcoming atmosphere, and Tacos and Tequila Tuesdays are a bonus. If you’re new to Ridgefield or just exploring the area, this is where the locals go. Highly recommend. Go Spudders and Go Raptors
