“Okay, let me paint a picture. It’s 6:59:59 and it appears you guys close at 7 PM. I would not have normally visited so late, but I had no idea what your hours were. I tried finding you online, on Google maps, and you don’t have a posting that exists. Part of my reason for continuing my journey for a smoothie was also just to see if you guys were still open meaning like open for business, that and I promised a three-year-old a smoothie for dinner. And like elephants, they never forget. I had all my eggs in one basket. So I noticed the sign is not on, but the lights are on and I still don’t see any hours posted on the door so I give it that old classic yank on the handle. Mostly to my surprise, the door opened and gal popped out from behind the counter. If she was internally, rolling her eyes at my late arrival, she did not show it. Instead, she said it was just fine and I caught her just in time and she would be happy to help us. My guilt almost got the best of me and I almost left, but in the same breath as somebody who worked customer service for many years, I also would’ve felt guilty if I was in her shoes and the customer left because they thought I was closed (which at this point she was). If that makes any sense. Anyway, she kindly made both of our smoothies and we left happy as anything! I don’t think she realizes that she was a dinner time hero, I likely would have cried in the car on the way home had it not gone the way it did (kidding?). Shout out to her parents for raising a good human! Thank you Emerald City Smoothie for existing! But PLEASE, add your hours or location on maps. If there’s a way for a customers to vote for employee of the month, or of the year, please shout out to the girl who was working in evening of 11/4!“

The manager deserves special recognition and words don't do her amazing efforts enough justice! The store is maintained to such high standards day in and day out and always spotless, well-organized, and welcoming. “I absolutely love this spot!! I’ve stopped here on the way to the VA hospital ER cause they have great food and the VA has mediocre food on a good day. I went there recently while on staycation for Pad Thai and a salad. Today I stopped by for pizza. The staff is friendly and professional and they don’t seem to have a lot of staff turnover and that’s good. I’ve seen some of the same faces for a few years. If you stop by pick up a container of the homemade chips. You will wish you bought two!“

“Food is decent, good for the price. However, the last time we went to dine in, we walked in about an hour before closing. The dining area was already cleaned with tables put up, and we were told we needed to take out. Instead, we left and dined elsewhere. The experience put us off a bit, but helped us discover a different poke place so now we know we have options if it's 6:55 pm and we'd like to sit for dinner.“
