I took my kids to Tanoor last night. The food was not too bad but pretty pricey, and the weird part was that they added a $33.13 tip to my bill without my consent.
I don’t mind paying a tip, but a tip is a gift — you can’t add it to the bill without the customer’s consent.
Great food & service! Award Winning!

I was extremely impressed with Lui’s service, he gave great recommendations and was very polite and professional. Due to the 5 star experience that he provided we will definitely be coming back.

I ordered a falafel sandwich and it was terrible. The outer bread was so hard that it was impossible to bite. The falafels inside were ok but you expect a much better food from a traditional restaurant. Overall i had to throw away most of the sandwich and will never visit again. Highly disappointing experience.

It was a good experience but I wish if they add more Arabic dishes.

Beautiful ambiance and service
The mezze came in great portions, but where they fell short was the meat. The shawarma wasn't very flavorful and the ground beef and lamb just slid right off the flatbread
If I come back, it will be to gaze upon the treetops and have more pita!
Great food, but the 5% service charge added to all checks is deliberately deceptive / hidden and sours the experience a bit by making you feel ripped off. While technically optional and briefly mentioned on the menu in small print, they guilt trip you into paying it by making it seem to be to provide benefits to employees, despite the fact that it is in no ways tied to employee compensation and the company keeps it. Because this is a blanket fee, not a gratuity, etc. it's pretty clear the only purpose is to make customers pay more while seeing lower menu prices. Even with broader trends of hidden fees at restaurants, this goes well beyond the norm and in my view is extremely deceptive. This alone makes me not want to come here again, which is frustrating because I do genuinely enjoy the food. And frankly would happily pay 5% more if this was baked into the menu prices in a transparent way.

Would not recommend Tanoor Sammamish. Service was horrible- when we arrived; all the servers and hostess were sitting in a booth giggling and talking, and we had to wait for them to finish chatting to seat us. Same thing when we wanted to order, when we had to ask for a drink refill or ask for help. I had to get out of my seat to wave someone down to help us and no one checked in on us even once. Also the restaurant was not busy at all- only another table when we were there, so this service is unacceptable. For the price and reputation of Tanoor, I expected much more, I will not be coming back.

I will give best ratings for their food and service. Not sure if anyone told them about this, their seating height is very low (both for booth/sofa and chairs). For an average height person, it is so uncomfortable to sit and eat for 45min to an hour for such seating (it is like designed for kids?). Hope they can fix it.
