The Pancake Chef Reviews
AWFUL SERVICE.
Waited 20 minutes for a table by myself and never got in. The host Randy was extremely rude and didn't seem to know what was going on. Gave up after another party showed up and got priority over me for no reason. Basically was told tough luck. Don't go here unless you want to be treated poorly from the moment you walk in.
Great old fashioned style cooking! Super friendly staff . Busy location but friendly staff and good food is worth the time. Sit back and enjoy the experience!! ❤️
Just visited for the first time tis morning! Delicious food and throwback decor! Will definitely be back!

The Pancake Chef is a restaurant that offers a classic American breakfast with various options. This institution has a long history, known for its consistently great breakfast and brunch items, along with its kind and friendly staff. The restaurant features an old-school atmosphere adorned with WWI aviation photos, recognized for its attentive service. Many customers leave with a smile on their face, appreciating the lovely crew.
Some customers have mentioned complaints about the taste of the gravy and small portion sizes, but others enjoy the food and find the serving sizes just right. One customer noted that the portion sizes might seem small because people are used to larger portions. Another customer had a fun and enjoyable dining experience, enjoying the Buen Sabor—eggs with chorizo and sour cream mixed with spices—and praised the service for going above and beyond, with a thermos provided for coffee.
The Pancake Chef is also known for its German-style pancakes, which are described as blanketing the plate, similar to a souffle. A previous customer mentioned that the German pancake was super delicious and enjoyed the warm service. While some felt the food was good but not extraordinary and noted that it might be pricier than typical diners, the overall experience is marked by great food, excellent service, and a charming atmosphere. The Pancake Chef remains a great option for a classic American breakfast, especially the German-style pancakes and other breakfast items.
