Mixed up our order of 3 bowls with different proteins vs rice and salad. Maybe the way they call out the order from the register to the kitchen causes confusion and messed up our order.

I went here a LONG time ago when they first opened and was obsessed. They are still THE SAME!!! It’s clean, easy to order, fast to get and absolutely delicious. The people there were super nice, patient, and helpful. They even had a little bit of both japanese and American snacks, candy, and drinks. They pack in a lot of stuff for such a small space.

Wow. Could this be the best poke in Seattle? I think so. While $20 may be on the top end, my bowl is overflowing with THREE types of fish, greens, perfectly cooked rice and a helping of goodies. A smiling staff member hands me my lunch and offers me sauces a’plenty. I dig in and have enough for lunch and dinner. I am in heaven. Stop scrolling and go to 45th right now and prepare to never experiment with another poke joint again. Did I mention they also have an incredible beer selection? Go now!

I placed two Togo bowls with three fish options, the cashier made it a dine in order and enforced 20% tips! With the atmosphere here ( a liquid store with tiny tables and strong marijuana smell ) and no service ( everything self help except placing the order ) I really think this insane. I ended up eating in the store because of the enforced tips but really it’s not enjoyable at all! This place used to be my favorite poke place, I’ll stop visiting it again!

The poke bowls here are incredible and from a really unsuspecting spot! They also have lots of Jp snacks and drinks too :)
Highly recommend stopping by and getting a bite to eat!

Their poke is merely fine but their poke pockets are amazing. I always get the starred three defaults (salmon, tuna, izumidai – izumidai is 'just' tilapia and it turns out raw tilapia is a thousand times more delicious than cooked), spicy. The izumidai comes with gochujang, which is an amazing combination. The tuna is so marinaded it looks and almost tastes like jelly.

We genuinely like the poke at 45th Stop N Shop which is why it pains me to leave a low star review. We have lived in the neighborhood and have eaten at this location once a week for 3+ years now. Our complaint has been the same this whole time: They don't order enough product and are always out of ingredients before closing. Today (Friday 1/24/25) we came in around 7:00 p.m. and they had completely sold out of fish and were closing up the store early (2 hours before closing). So we walked over here and took all those steps up only to walk away empty handed. They lost our $60 all because they can't be bothered to order enough product. It's hard to support a business that can't be proactive. Expect to have your time wasted and be left hungry 7/10 times you come here.

Fantastic poke but they made our order wrong and they don’t have a phone number for this location which feels a little ridiculous.

I ordered a three-fish poke bowl (salmon, tuna, and a white fish called izumidai) priced at $20. The bowl was packed with a variety of ingredients like seaweed salad, edamame, ginger, and imitation crab, to the point where it became overwhelming—I couldn’t even tell what I was eating at times. Unfortunately, the tuna didn’t taste fresh, and the overall experience was far from the typical poke bowl you’d expect in Hawaii. I’m not sure if I’ll be returning.

Overall solid poke! Portions are pretty good for the price, flavor of the marinade is great but fish is on the chewier side, especially the salmon. Would come back because it’s a pretty good option compared to other Seattle spots

My wife loves this place. It's her go-to poke spot, and I can see why. The portions are generous, and they don't skimp on the toppings. However, I personally find their poke bowls a tad over-seasoned. The spicy tuna is too spicy and their salmon poke is a bit too salty.
Even with the generous portions (which are a plus!), I sometimes struggle to finish the bowl because the flavors are so intense. That also feels bad because that means I am wasting precious expensive sushi fish.
The atmosphere is also very interesting, since it's almost like a convenience store. Interesting concept and I'm sure one that had a lot of thought put into it. I'm just not familiar with this particular homage.
That being said, it's still a solid #2 for poke in Seattle. The fish is fresh, the selection is good, and my wife absolutely loves it, and it's always a negotiation between here and Fremont bowl. If you're someone who enjoys bold flavors, this is definitely the place for you!
