4th Ave Espresso Bar is honestly one of my go-to spots whenever I’m in downtown Seattle. It’s inside the Fairmont Olympic Hotel, and it’s such a comfortable and welcoming place to grab coffee.

They serve Caffè Ladro, a local roastery from Queen Anne, and the coffee is always really good — smooth, strong, and consistent. Whether it’s a latte, cappuccino, or cold brew, everything tastes great every time.

Their pastries are also really solid. Fresh croissants, muffins, scones, cookies, breakfast sandwiches — a nice mix of items, and they’re always displayed nicely. It’s perfect whether you’re rushing to a meeting or just taking a minute to relax.

What keeps me coming back is the service. The staff is friendly, fast, and always in a good mood. They make you feel welcome right away, which is rare these days.

If you’re staying at the Fairmont or just walking by, it’s definitely worth stopping in. Great coffee, great team, and an all-around good vibe.

We still talk about this espresso bar, coffee shop from 20 yrs. Ago when we stayed at the Olympic Hotel..It was the absolute best, the coffee and items they served..5 plus star..

Took 30 minutes to get two lattes because the two baristas were arguing and making a scene. Would expect more from a Fairmont property

25 minutes for them to heat up an egg sandwich. Food was good. Pretty expensive.

I used to be here every morning with my husband. It is a beautiful place. Eric is the best. One year later after my husband promoted to his new position, it’s not as good as before. The almond croissant is not fresh. We used to have one almond croissant to share with two cortados every morning. I know the taste of Fairmont’s almond croissant. Is just not like that. I keep this three stars for our memories.

Found this diamond in the rough and could not be more happy. Excellent coffee which is what we really needed after 2 weeks in the USA. Respectfully, Americans don't do good coffee but they do here. Came back the next day for a light breakfast. They remembered our coffee order immediately on walking in and we enjoyed these with a few Danishes. Loved the service. Comfortable atmosphere and did I mention the great coffee ☕😉🤣

We came here despite mixed reviews, and would not return. Our coffee drinks were average. Granola parfait ($10) had a nice touch with some lemon curd, but the granola was stale. Also prices were higher than coffee shop across the street (which was better).

Priced too high for average Seattle coffee and stale pastries. I feel like I've been robbed.

4th Ave Espresso Bar - A Hidden Gem for Breakfast and Coffee Lovers

If you’re in the mood for a delicious breakfast and great coffee, 4th Ave Espresso Bar is a must-visit. Their breakfast burrito is absolutely fantastic – packed with flavor and the perfect start to your day.

The coffee menu is just as impressive. The iced white mocha is rich and creamy, hitting all the right notes, while the vanilla chai with espresso is a unique, top-notch blend that’s perfect for those who like a little spice with their caffeine.

The service is quick and efficient, making it an ideal spot for a fast, yet satisfying breakfast or coffee break.

Overall, this cozy spot is perfect for grabbing a tasty meal or enjoying a well-crafted drink. Highly recommend!

Decent coffee and perfectly convenient when staying in the Fairmont. Unfortunately the $14 Lox & Bagel sandwich was one of the worst breakfast items I’ve consumed in recent memory. The lox was fine, if a little bland, but the bagel felt like it was at least three days old, just stale and hard and awful. I’ve got no problem paying a premium for a premium product but this was just awful, an insult to the customer to serve something so sub-par.

This is a glimmering gem of a coffee shop associated with the Fairmont Seattle. Makenna and Eric, the baristas, are the BEST! They were both so kind, congenial and aiming to please each and every guest who came in. A quick chat 2 mornings in a row got our days in Seattle off to such a wonderful start! The coffee and pastries were delicious as well. I hope their management realizes what wonderful staff they have and that they are recognized financially for their hard work!

Delicious coffee and great food, but outstanding customer service. Shoutout to Makenna who overheard a coworker and I talking about having a really hard week. She comped our coffees and brought us some delicious savory pastries for free as well (we insisted on buying a cookie). Truly such a kind gesture to help us turn our days around. Give this woman a raise. We will definitely be back.
