5 spot cafe was good, but not great on our visit. It has great reviews and is a staple in Queen Anne, but not on our visit. The service was way too slow, and our server wasn’t very friendly. This place is a classic diner and the portions are huge, which is great. They have plenty of table seating, but the staff seems overworked as there weren’t enough servers. I’m sure if there were more waiters working our experience would’ve been better. Overall, we really enjoyed the food and thought the place had a good vibe and layout. Although I will see the kids pancakes were a little rubbery. The good news is it’s kid friendly. We’ll go back again to see if our next visit is any better. We still think it’s worth the visit.

5 Spot nails the cozy diner vibe with a fun twist. I had the blueberry pancakes and bacon — both hit the spot. Coffee was strong and bottomless. Service was friendly, but the weekend wait was a bit long. Still, the food and atmosphere made it worth it. Definitely grabbing a cinnamon roll next time!

This place has posters on its wall advertising being awarded the #1 breakfast restaurant in Seattle, but I can't agree with it. The food is a hit or miss depending on what you get.

The cheese curds were good, and the breakfast burrito was just alright, but unfortunately, the biscuits and gravy were not good at all. The flavor was so bland it had to be thrown away.

I will commend their customer service though. Our waiter said they don't offer a military discount, but went ahead and gave us a discount anyway. It was extremely awesome of them, and appreciated. Because of this, if I were in the area again, I'd consider giving them a second chance and trying some of their other items.

The atmosphere and service were excellent, really enjoyed the sort of retro vibe. Service was exceptional as well. The food, however… my friend that was with me got the Chorizo Benedict and was not impressed. I tried it as well and I agree. I had the Cali Benedict and it was good, but both of our hash browns were crispy on top and like carrot sticks on the bottom (undercooked).

Overall not the best experience. I’m visiting here and personally have had much better at other places.

Save your money and do not eat here. Worst customer service ever, very rude and unprofessional. Worst place in Seattle. The man at the front has the worst attitude, don't know if its the owner or not, its like we were bothering him to come in and eat at restaurant, he was fighting with some people outside about parking on public street in front of place rather than dealing with the customers who were inside the place.

5Spot is a charming place with a retro feel and a very varied menu. I had lunch there on a Friday and it was busy and very lively. Delmer was our server and he was so attentive and friendly. The food was terrific! I had an egg scramble with a side of the spicy roasted potatoes. So good! Great place to meet a friend or go to with co workers.
