Our experience at 84 Yesler was amazing! Each dish was full of flavor and creatively presented. The staff was very attentive and friendly. I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking to have a memorable evening.

We ordered several dishes, but one of the highlights was the chef's special Waygu cut... it was outstanding!

Overall a great experience. The place has a really nice vibe. The food was well thought out. The tasting menu was very good. We will go again

The food here is always excellent; I really feel this is one of the better high-end dining experiences in Seattle. Love the warm lighting and ambience. Don't skip dessert!

Very nice ambiance -- well designed and pleasant, with a large airy feel to what is actually a fairly small pace. Because small, noisy when full. Food prepared with thoughtfulness and attention to detail. The house-made pasta was unique, actually incorporating herb leaves into the pasta in an artful way. The few side vegetable with the black cod were treated in a way that made every bite memorable. Not everything worked: the macerated strawberries and brownie dessert was different and good, but the apple dessert was a little fussy and did not really enhance the apples at the source of it. Expensive, but mostly worth it.

Delighted to be back - the food is always fantastic, the ambiance warm, & elevated. Cocktails were delicious and the staff went over the top to make us feel welcome. We loved all the locally sourced ingredients too!!

This is easily one of my favorite restaurants for celebrations. I've yet to have a dish that wasn't absolutely delicious, and the service is just incredible.

Susan was wonderful! She was friendly and knowledgeable, and the dinners we had were superb. We always plan on 84 Yesler each time we're in Seattle, and always enjoy our experience there immensely.

We we celebrated our wedding anniversary with the Four course tasting menu. The food was delicious; however the portion size for each course was literally two bites. The main course was 1.5 oz of fish...2 bites. $400 later and we went to Dicks for a cheeseburger and dessert. Dessert was not even included in the course offering. It was an extra $16.00. The food was good, but not worth the money. Save your money and go somewhere else.

One of my favorite Seattle restaurants. It never disappoints. Imaginative menu and excellent service.

The menu is short but every entry is exceptional. Happy hour from 4 pm to 6 pm offers a bargain although the dishes are proportionately smaller. A great experience and eating right along side the kitchen is an added treat for those who like to cook.

Tasting menu, was great experience, my wife and I loved every bit of it. Looking at other tables orders the whole menu looks wonderful. We will be back

This is the place to go for a quiet dinner of great food and remarkable service. Eating your way through the Happy Hour menu is a nice alternative to their multi-course tasting menu, but you need to be there before 6:00 PM.

Oh, lordy, lordy, how have I been coming out to Seattle for the last 15 years and not known about this place? It was an utterly sublime gustatory experience. My husband and daughter and I shared the ceviche appetizer with coconut cream and chive oil - dear lord, it was delicate and savory and I could have made a meal of it by itself. My daughter and I both had the papardelle with lemon butter sauce and Dungeness crab - we both simply devoured it. My husband will tell you how much I despise tarragon, but this sauce was light and creamy and the tarragon was perfect. The homemade pasta enclosed herbs between each strand and was beautifully al dente. My husband had the salmon and cleaned his plate as well. Service was top notch - attentive and well-paced. Cocktails were divine. I most certainly will return!
Update: went again 04/06/2023 and it was just as amazing as our first visit. Go, you will *not* regret it! Update 2: ate here again 08/06/2025. We've never been disappointed with any meal here!

Parmesean churros were excellent. Focaccia was different from most that I've had - crispy wedges - but still very good. We had the papardelle with herbs in the noodles with dungeness crab. Used the focaccia for the sauce. Excellent but very rich. Also the scallops with foraged mushrooms and toasted hazelnuts. Outstanding. We did not have dessert as nothing on the list really spoke to me: a gluten-free brownie with various chocolate things, an apple cake thing with a brandy-based sauce (I don't like that flavor), and something with a meringue which is not something we like. But after the other excellent dishes mentioned above, dessert was really unnecessary, for us anyway. The background music was a little bass-heavy for our taste but we were far older than most of the patrons. Service was very good.
