The atmosphere is excellent. It’s cozy in the winter and has a little outdoor/backyard oasis in the summer. It has cozy seating, a large collection of vintage frog figurines and other critter decorations, gluten-free treats like brownies from Nuflours, and a wide variety of dairy-free/vegan milk options. All the staff are great and the drinks are delicious. It’s the kind of weird & wonderful hole-in-the-wall coffee shop that seems to be getting more rare by the day. They also sell tie dye frog t-shirts for the discerning connoisseur of fashion.Dietary restrictions: Many vegan dairy-free milk alternatives are available. Some gluten-free food items are available.

I’m so glad I broke my foot, because it led me to the best cup of coffee I’ve ever had, and permanently changed the trajectory of my life forever. Let me explain.I visited the orthopedic center down the street after an eventful night out which ended in a broken bone. How the bone broke, I do not recall…After my appointment I decided to hobble my way to the coffee shop for a pick-me-up which I literally needed. I was charmed by the lovely decor inside and out. I got a hemp milk latte. It took me back to my college days, the only other time and place I had ever been able to order a hemp milk latte! I knew then that I’d be coming back.I decided to buy beans for my family before I drove back home to Montana for Christmas. I got my parents a bag of the Ethiopian because I knew they liked a light roast. I did not know then what I now know about Ethiopian coffee… I did not know anything about coffee, in fact, other than the fact that I enjoyed coffee that tasted burnt. When I got home for Christmas and my dad opened up his beans and made me a cappuccino on his Rancilio Silvia with the Ethiopian coffee. And it blew me away. That was the best coffee I had ever had in my life. That was the day my life changed forever.I had to come back to A Muddy Cup. I had to buy more Ethiopian coffee. And… I made a decision. After years of debating on if spending the money was worth it… the time investment, the learning curve, the hundreds of dollars in accessories, the pretentiousness… I finally decided that yes… it was worth it.I finally decided to buy my own espresso machine.Thank you, A Muddy Cup. I will continue buying your beans in honor of my journey, from broken foot to the best cup of coffee in my life, to hopefully making myself the best coffee of my life every day, in your honor. Thank you.

Popped in to get a chai latte while waiting for the bus and it was really good, kept getting better as I got further into the cup. They have many non-dairy milk options, and also a variety of types of chai lattes that I think are worth a chai. It was very quiet inside on this Sunday morning with people getting work done.

A creative corner thats small parts quirky, creepy, and very, very cozy, like falling into a narnia closet of warm nostalgia and finding a truly excellent warm cup of coffee waiting for you. It's shocking quiet within, freed from the outside noise and given only to its own atmosphere. I could see the outside accomodations delightful on a warm day, as much as the inside was inviting on the rainy one during which I discovered it.It was fun to lounge in a corner, listening to the very friendly barista chat up their regulars. It's clear this place operates with as much heart as it has character. A true gem.

It’s such a cozy little nook! Take the time to read the menu scattered around and above the serving table, theres specials off the menu that you might miss - I got a mocha there and a bagel, the mocha was rich and delicious, served beautifully with whipped cream and chocolate syrup - i recommend!

A quirky little coffee shop tucked away in the heart of Wallingford -- the decor and ambiance are really unique and the whole shop feels very homey. As evidenced by their sign, prepare to see lots of frog-themed memorabilia. The baristas were really friendly and the hot chocolate was yummy. I enjoyed it out on the back patio. It's a nice spot to bring a book or laptop to, would come back!
