The atmosphere and food here is outstanding. The decor and setting is simple yet traditional, rounded out with the sweet smell of frankincense incense. The dishes are flavorfully spiced and the lamb is delicious! I highly recommend this spot!

Great flavor and great price for big portion

Let me tell you something: I walked into this Ethiopian restaurant a mere mortal and walked out spiritually reborn, smelling faintly of berbere and happiness.

Every bite was like a warm hug. The lentils? Seasoned perfectly. The meat, tender as Jason Segel’s heart in forgetting Sarah Marshall.

And don’t even get me started on the service, these people don’t just serve food, they curate experiences.

Absolutely the best Ethiopian restaurant in town! The food at Agelgil is always fresh, flavorful, and truly authentic. It’s always delicious and has the same amazing taste every time . I really appreciate their consistency. and every dish is full of that amazing homemade taste. The staff go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and happy, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. You can truly tell they put their heart into everything they do.

I can confidently say that this is the best Ethiopian restaurant in Seattle. I have been visiting for a long time, and over the last four years, the food quality, atmosphere, and service have remained unchanged… the consistency is amazing. Each dish bursts with authentic flavors that transport me straight to back Home, and the injera is always perfectly soft and tangy. The staff greets you like family, making every visit feel like a warm reunion. Even during busy hours, they manage to maintain a level of attentiveness that is hard to find elsewhere. I often recommend this gem to friends, and they always leave raving about their experience.
