The worst meal I’ve had in a very long time. Don’t order the cauliflower tacos, horrible. The $15 chips (which came out of a bag and off a truck) and guacamole (sub-par) were just plain bad. It’s very easy to make homemade delicious, authentic tortilla chips. The $17 salad was lettuce and some dressing. Beans and rice = tasteless. They are relying on their views and have given up on making good, quality food. The icing on the cake is that you order at the counter and then the iPad tip defaults to 18%. Such a shame.

What a gem of a spot! Affordable, but on the water, a wonderful salsa bar. I love the way that the menu is easy to decide from. You go in your order at the counter and then find a seat. Very casual but the food blew us away.

Great spot right on the cut with views of Lake Union. Walk up style counter makes it easy. Great margs and tacos!

I have enjoyed this place in the past but today the service was sub par. We asked about seating for a larger group and they were not only not helpful they were actively hostile toward us trying to sit together. Truly the request we made did not make walkways any less close together than they already were. When I brought my dirty dishes over to bus my table they did not offer to take them from me but said to go leave them back on the table, where I was trying to make space. I gave a nice tip, which I regret. It's a pretty much self serve situation and the little bit of service we needed was barely provided. It's a shame.

My [now] husband and I used to live just north of the U District over a decade ago when we were first dating and went to Agua Verde regularly for kayaking, dinner, and cocktails. Well, fast-forward 13 years and we now live in far south Seattle and don’t often find ourselves north of the ship canal, but we had a rare date night away from our kids so we decided to revisit our old haunt and return to Agua Verde for another kayaking + dinner date. And how overjoyed we were that we did!

We were blown away by the hospitality we received. From the get-go, Audrey, the host, made us feel very welcome and impressively tracked the various guests waiting for tables. Then, as we were putting in our order and presented an ancient gift card someone had given us for our wedding many years ago, Georgia, the cashier, and Sergio, the manager, worked tirelessly to figure out how to translate it to use in their modern system, especially since we couldn’t remember the amount that had been loaded onto it, lol. We would have understood if they had told us it was just too old to use, but they worked diligently to figure out a way to let us pay with it and were more than generous with the amount they ultimately credited us for it. We shared the story with them of where the gift card had come from and how we used to be Agua Verde regulars ages ago, and they proceeded to treat us like royalty, going above and beyond to check on us during the meal and our wonderful server, Anya, even delivered a complimentary flan to help us celebrate our return to the restaurant.

The food was just as delicious as we had remembered (maybe even more so!) and the sunset was dreamy. We had such a special evening and commend Agua Verde and their team for being such a gem of a restaurant in Seattle. We will be back (hopefully sooner this time!). Thank you!

15’ waiting and after none of my 3 EU cards worked for them. It looked great, but avoid if you don’t have a US card.

This place has acceptable food and a salsa bar. The view from this place is well worth giving it a try as you're looking at the c water from every seat. I had chicken tacos, beans and rice. It was all pretty good, but maybe suggest adding a liquid smoke to the beans. It would elevate the flavor and people would go crazy for it.

I think if in the area again, I definitely would go back.

Good food, but the deck is COVERED in wasps. Also, there’s no wifi and the food is super expensive

Thought the food was only ok and very expensive. Chips and guacamole was almost $20 for cold chip crumbles and a dollop of cold guacamole. Portions for the main dishes were good and the corn tortillas was good. Would be nice to mix and match filling options. The sweet potato was a little gutless. Nice that there were multiple vegetarian options - sweet potato or califlower. It's very loud where you order and hard to hear the cashier but the outdoor seatting was quieter. Beans and rice that came with the main were not that good.
Overall let down by the food.

Came here after the OSU v Washington football game and the line was out the door. We waiting outside for a good 10-15 mins and upon entering, we ordered with the host and got a number and was sat down quickly. Within 5 mins - our food arrived at our table and it was delicious! As busy as they were at that time, the staff were all friendly. I loved their open salsa bar. Atmosphere was great since the restaurant was on the lake!
