What a gem of a spot! Affordable, but on the water, a wonderful salsa bar. I love the way that the menu is easy to decide from. You go in your order at the counter and then find a seat. Very casual but the food blew us away.

I have enjoyed this place in the past but today the service was sub par. We asked about seating for a larger group and they were not only not helpful they were actively hostile toward us trying to sit together. Truly the request we made did not make walkways any less close together than they already were. When I brought my dirty dishes over to bus my table they did not offer to take them from me but said to go leave them back on the table, where I was trying to make space. I gave...

My [now] husband and I used to live just north of the U District over a decade ago when we were first dating and went to Agua Verde regularly for kayaking, dinner, and cocktails.
