Ahadu is my go-to spot—I find myself there at least twice a week! If you’re a fan of raw meat like I am, this place is a must-try. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming. While waiting for your order, be sure to ask Sammy for his signature espresso shot—it’s a hidden gem. The prices are fair for the generous portions you get. Highly recommend Ahadu to anyone looking for great food and a chill atmosphere!

Came to the area for a different restaurant entirely and decided to try this restaurant when plans fell through. Please stop in and try Ahadu, we went in with no expectations and were completely floored by how good everything tasted, and how nice staff were about explaining the dishes and spices and how to eat everything. They have a platter that is a huge sampler of everything they have to offer, it easily feeds two people and I guarantee you will find something you like on the plate (for me, everything on the plate).

Updated review: Ahadu has the best meat dishes around and really amazing food. I was disappointed last time I went because I was charged a hidden 5% fee. Also despite ordering 2 combos we were only given 2 pieces of injera and charged for extra pieces. Most places offer more injera. While I plan to come back I hope that they reconsider the service charge and maybe be a bit more generous with the injera and veggie portions.
The veggie combo was on the smaller side. Portions have definitely shrunk.

Old review:
Incredibly welcoming and kind people serving amazing food. It was a great experience all around.
A friend and I had the meat combo, we added an extra injera because our eyes are far bigger than our stomach. We ate as much as we could but still had a ton of food leftover.
Finished with a delightful coffee and a fry bread. The coffee is must needed to reduce the impact of the food coma approaching.
Can’t wait to eat here again!

The food was absolutely delicious. The injera was fresh and perfectly spongy, with just the right tang. I ordered the vegetarian combo and doro wat, and every single item was bursting with flavor. The spices were rich and aromatic, and the portions were generous. You can really taste the love and authenticity in every bite.

You've completely lost touch with your loyal customers. Overcharging me during the ESFNA with inconsistent pricing and serving subpar food with tiny portions. Food business is not about supply and demand. It’s about trust, consistency, and respect for your customers which was local and not from out of state. Sadly, seems that you have forgotten that. Very disappointing.

I used to enjoy coming to Ahadu, but sadly things have gone downhill. During the recent Ethiopian festival, prices were inconsistent and I felt overcharged. Portions were surprisingly small, and the quality of the food just wasn’t there. It’s disappointing to see a place stop caring about its loyal customers.

As a partecipant to the Ethiopian Sport Festival where Ahadu had a stand, they were just to make as much money and not care about their regular customers nor the spirit of brotherhood and celebration. Talking trash about their next door food stand and charging 3 times more than their menu price and just a 1/4 of the regular food with grave food safety concern is just not how you do business. Also on their restaurant, I don't know how they are passing the food safety as I got food poising a couple of time.

I live in Seattle, and . It’s truly one of the best Ethiopian dining experiences I’ve had here.

Personally, I love the Tibs—they capture the authentic taste of Ethiopian cuisine perfectly. The Veggie Combo is also one of my favorites; it’s flavorful, well-balanced, and a great option whether you’re new to Ethiopian food or already a fan.

We go there all the time, and it’s easily one of my top spots in Seattle. If you haven’t tried this restaurant yet, I highly recommend it!!!

Great food, Great community, Great service. As an American Ethiopian, I enjoy coming here for lunch after a busy afternoon, sitting outside and sipping tea. The food is honestly the best I’ve had, reminding me of how my emaye used to make it. My favorite dish here was the foul. Would recommend to anyone open to trying something new or experiencing authentic tasting Ethiopian food.

I ordered veggie combo and Raw meat Kitfo inside the restaurant and I keep repeatedly tell her raw kitfo and the last time before she gives me the order 2 minutes ago she said the kitfo is Raw ? I said Yes and she gives me the order and I take to my friends house when we opened the Order it's not Raw meet it's cooked lightly ,whay you Guys doing that ?? It's not totally acceptable leaving customers unsatisfied by changing their order intentionally. We will not recommended for people to order for to go . for us it's fine we already order from different restaurant.
