All of the food tasted great. My only real problem is the extra charges for something as simple as a little more pico de gallo. We ordered the tacos and I asked if I could hold the cheese and the crema and swap them instead for pico de Gallo. They gave me a tiny bowl with about two teaspoons of pico on the side. I went through that right away and asked if I could get a little more for my other taco. Altogether I got about four teaspoons and they charged me on the final bill for $7.00 extra. This felt absurd. It should have cost nothing given that it was a swap for other toppings.

Every time we come here the food is so good and everyone is so nice. Last time the fireplace was going and it was all toasty.

Alebrijes Kitchen is an absolute gem. The food was incredibly delicious and truly authentic—every bite tasted like it was made with care and tradition. The service was extra special: warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, which made the experience even better. Overall, an excellent dining experience from start to finish. I can’t wait to come back and try more from the menu.

I liked the vibe of this place. It very much gives off a mini-Mexico kind of feeling, from the decorations, to the smaller space, and the wait staff.
The starting salsa that came along with the chips was interesting here. It felt more spicy and more sour than what you'd typically expect, and slightly thicker as well. It's definitely better than the average salsa you'd get at a Mexican restaurant.
For an appetizer, we had the baked queso, which came with a couple tortillas. I didn't like this that much - the baking didn't give that much creaminess to the queso - as it mostly stayed in block form. Eating with the tortilla felt a little bland
The carnitas enchiladas rojos I got for the main course were solid. They came with a lot of cheese on top, and this cheese was melted well. The corn tortillas had a good cook-level for enchiladas - being hard enough not to fully collapse but also give under a little bit of effort.
The actual pork itself was fine. It was leaner than I expected - really didn't get too much flavor, and it felt slightly lacking in the amount stuffed into each enchilada.
The overall amount of food in the plate was very high though, especially when you add in the beans + potatoes.
I should also note that their house margarita was extremely good here.
For dessert, we shared the flan, which was interesting in how soft it was. I generally liked it.
The cost per person ended up being around $40, with the appetizer, dinner, dessert, and a drink. Thought mostly everything was fairly priced for the amount of food received - although the flan was probably on the expensive side.
Overall, I think this place does above-average Mexican food, but I wouldn't say its worth coming back to. 7.5/10

Environment was nice and cozy heaters everywhere, keeping the place warm and comfortable. Staff was nice and friendly. This was our first time here. We really loved how the menu was simple, with a well thought out kids menu. Food portions were way bigger than we expected, making the prices very reasonable. The taste, happy to say the food was absolutely delicious. We got the fish tacos and birria tacos. Will definitely be back again soon.

Definitely on the pricier side, but really solid. Salsa wasnt the best but the chips were oily and fresh. Wasn't too busy and decent street parking when I went for lunch. Had to most toxic mojito of my life that had me spinning out after half of it, 5 stars, will be coming back.

The food is so mid. It’s an absolute crime that they give you a lemon instead of a lime and also just nothing there is good. The only thing I’ve ever had that’s good and I’ve tried like five things because I live right next to this place is the taco El Pastor that’s why it’s getting a two star instead of a one star

I feel more Mexican restaurants are essentially Tex Mex. I got tacos and the main thing that killed them are the packaged tortillas. All tacos had 2 layers of tortillas which in my opinion dont taste too great. The fish tacos plate was $25 for 3 tacos and no rice or beans. Also the tacos couldve used a bit more salsa and crema. And the salsa used is your basic tabasco and cholula. The flavors of all food items were very spot on. The cocktails were deliscous and the service was 10/10

I am genuinely confused on how this place has been rated so highly. Including being given best new restaurant of 2023 and a 9.3 rating by infatuation.
Service was fine and atmosphere was good. The drinks were decent but nothing to write home about friend got the sangria and I had the house margarita which had pomegranate juice in it which I thought was an interesting choice not necessarily bad but somewhat weird.
Starting with the food. The complementary chips and salsa we received were unremarkable. The chips were two different types one yellow corn and the other one lighter possibly flour? The salsa was extremely thin and very watery; it also used green onion which was very strange. Both began the trend of our dinner by being completely under seasoned.
I ordered the same enchiladas rojas with roasted pork and my friend ordered the quesabirria. These dishes followed the trend of the chips and salsa and were also very under seasoned. Both dishes felt like the cook was afraid to use too much salt. The “birria” tasted just like someone slow cooked a pot roast with a hint of salt. There were no discernible flavors of chile topically found in a traditional birria as well as being completely under salted. The enchiladas were fine but the sauce again had the same issues as being under salted and not enough chile flavor. The roasted pork inside them was again pretty flavorless and dry in some bites. The crema and massive amounts of cheese on top helped to make them more palatable but could only go so far in hiding the dishes weakness. The enchiladas were also served with potatoes which again were underseasoned and felt like they were just boiled.
Overall extremely disappointed with the meal. I had much higher expectations for this place upon reading the reviews, especially from reputable professional food critics. I honestly have made much more tasty and flavorful enchiladas, birria, and salsa at home. I would recommend people to honestly pass on this restaurant if they are looking for traditional mexican food and look somewhere south in the burien white center area.
