A great find. I visited the beach to check it out, but at an unlucky time on a weekday. Between 3 and 5 pm, almost everything there closes, making it hard to find a good place open. I passed by Alki Cafe and liked the menu, so I decided to go in. The place is nothing special, simple, not very big, and the heating inside was great, it was really cold on the beach. I ordered a chicken waffle, which was great, the price was ok, and the flavor was wonderful. The waitress was super friendly and polite. Clean bathrooms, easy access, and wheelchair accessible.

Our waitress was polite, that's it. She seemed slightly bothered by all the requests we kindly made. JESSICA DEA was dismissive and plain cold and definitely made us feel unwelcome and out of place. I wouldn't have cared if that was her attitude to everyone, but it was just with us. She was extremely nice and cheery with every other customer that was white american.
I hadn't felt discriminated against in a long while. From beginning to end, she seemed inconvenienced by us, a great way of cutting your tip!
It's disappointing, especially giving the fact that the establishment is located in such a diverse and welcoming area. It was my husband's first time on Alki, not a great impression for out of state visitors.
Would I come back? Sure! But I would ask for another waitress.

Alki Cafe is under new management so it's kind of early to tell how good this place can or will be. But I can say that the food recipes are a little different than before but still decent. It has a great view out into the ocean and can get packed around the lunch time. The prices on average I would say for a meal and a coffee run about $22 - $25. There is only on the street parking which can be tricky during busy days. Service was great, but they might need to hire a few more people to keep up with the flow of customers when it is busy.

We have witnessed a decreased quality in food and service in the last 2 years. They always seem to be out of something, whether it French toast or toast. The service when I walk in look at me and assume I'm an uber driver for some reason and don't greet me. The bacon usually is under cooked or so crispy it just taste burnt. I don't think new management or any server can save this mess. The menu is all over the place. Sad to mark this place off as inedible
You're going to wait one hour for food that is either not cooked enough or burned. I live nearby, so I have given them many chances. The last several times, I just left after receiving my food without eating it.

Good food and a good variety of options. The breakfast burrito is very tasty and loaded with eggs and fillings. The Tex Mex chilaquiles were very tasty. Our server was very friendly and attentive. This is a must try spot for breakfast. You will not be disappointed. Enjoy!!
