We love getting fish and chips from Spuds at Alki beach. Love the mini statue of liberty too. The beach is beautiful but is a bit rocky and has sea weed.

I order halibut and prawns the fish wasn't fresh at all and kind of chewy. The batter coating was thick .won't recommend. The fries were the worst soggy and full of oil.

One of the best fish n chips places in Seattle. The prawns are also amazing. We tried the shrimp and crab cocktail and they were both slam dunks. They desperately need a remodel though. Every surface is sticky and the bathrooms are not ideal for such a busy place.

Dear Alki Spudâs Team,
Iâm writing to share some disappointing experiences Iâve had recently at your restaurant, which has long been one of my daughterâs favorite spots for dinner. She especially loves your prawns, and weâve made a point of coming to Alki Spudâs for them many times.
However, on my last two visits â including my most recent visit around 7:00 PM â I was told that the prawns were not available. I understand that certain items may run out during peak times, and I can accept that. What made the experience frustrating was the way the cashier handled the situation.
Both times, the cashier simply told me, âWe donât have any right now,â in a very dismissive and indifferent manner, without offering an explanation, apology, or suggesting an alternative. His attitude made me feel unwelcome and as if I was an inconvenience rather than a valued customer. It even left me feeling like I should have had a back-up plan for dinner, which really took away from what should have been a positive experience for me and my daughters when making the trip to Alki.
Weâve always loved coming to Alki Spudâs, and I hope this feedback helps to improve the service going forward. A more helpful and professional approach from staff â even when items are unavailable â would make a big difference.

I was really disappointed with my experience at Alki Spud Fish & Chips. The fries I got were not from fresh cut potatoesâthey were clearly old, refried, extremely greasy, and just disgusting. They looked and tasted stale and unappetizing.
I actually went back to the store to let them know, hoping theyâd make it right. Instead of apologizing or offering me a fresh batch, they just told me this is the way they do it. Zero customer service.
Honestly, if youâre going to charge decent prices for fish & chips, at least make sure the fries are fresh and treat your customers with a bit of respect. Wonât be returning.
