My husband and I had our wedding at the Almquist winery on April 27th 2024 and the venue and staff were so wonderful! There was a miscommunication and mix up with our day of coordinator and to be fair for what we paid for her and what we received was incredibly disappointing. With that being said the owner handled the situation very well and our day was still as wonderful as we could have imagined! The staff and servers were some of the best we have ever received! We got so many compliments from our guests about how great they were on the day of! The food at this venue is incredible! We had a very cute private tasting 3 months prior to the wedding and they completely nailed exactly what we were wanting. The venue itself is stunning and intimate and I would recommend to anyone who wants to have a smaller wedding with close friends and family. We can’t thank the Almquist winery for giving us the best day of our lives yet to date!
The Almquist is such a gorgeous gem of a venue right in the heart of the lower Queen Anne neighborhood. Their bar and barrel room are both beautiful but my favorite part of the whole venue is their greenhouse. You can’t go wrong with any of it!
Simply put, Almquist left nothing to be desired! From the generous venue access time, easy load-in, helpful & accommodating staff, and beautiful details, Almquist easily earned my five stars. I highly recommend taking a tour and imagining the possibilities. Vendors, this is absolutely a venue you want to recommend to your couples!
My fiancé and I reached out to this winery last year in hopes of having our wedding here. The space is beautiful. After an initial walkthrough, we followed up to move forward and were flat out ignored by the management team. No contact from them at all. I’m glad we didn’t have our event here if this was how they’re handling new business.
I just attended the best wedding of my life at Almquist Winery on Sunday! Everything was beautifully done. The grounds are lovely, with shade trees and a water view. The bar service was excellent, and the strawberry mimosas were fantastic! Appetizers were delicious: raw oysters, burrata bruschetta, and ube doughnuts. Brunch was served in the barrel room, which is a wonderful space. My only suggestions for improvement were with a couple of the brunch items. Caesar salad was exceptional, but the croutons were unusually hard (I had to avoid my temporary crown). Eggs Benedict was generally good; the eggs were perfectly cooked and the hollandaise was wonderful, but the English muffin was so tough that I couldn't saw through it with my butter knife. Seriously, like shoe leather. The sweet potato hash was very tasty, but it was brought out after everyone had finished their entrees, so most people didn't even bother trying it. The fresh fruit plate was fabulous. Still, despite these small flaws, Almquist WInery put on a near-perfect event! I highly recommend them for your next event.
They should make it much more clear that this is no longer a public access winery. The entrance says winery and the website says "winery minutes from downtown" but it's just not a place you can stop by to get a glass of wine. The lady walking out of the closed building told us it's just a wedding and events place now.
The most perfect place we could have had our wedding. Almquist has multiple spaces that can work with many different decor styles, and we were able to create the modern, intimate, and colorful wedding of our dreams so easily. All of the staff we worked with went completely above and beyond, and Table Catering served some of the best food I’ve ever had, wedding or otherwise. People who attended our wedding said it felt just like us, and my spouse and I would not have been able to achieve that without the support and excitement that the Almquist team had for our ideas. They completely elevated our event, and I would recommend them to anyone. I’m so happy we chose them for this important event, and can’t imagine our wedding anywhere else!
As the owner of Your Perfect Bridesmaid, I recently had the pleasure of attending an open house event at Almquist Winery. In the over 15 years of wedding planning experience I have never experienced something so magical. Not only is Almquist an exceptional venue in the heart of the city but their catering is the most inventive, most beautifully presented, and most delicious I have tasted. If you are looking to have your event be something never forgotten, look no further.
I've worked here as a vendor twice now. The recent event was a very intense partying wedding, the kind of even where staff could find it quite stressful, but the staff was incredible. They were polite, helpful and cheerful from start to finish. The venue looked enchanting as well of course.

The venue is enchanting and perfect for a small wedding. Unfortunately, venue management is rude, dishonest, and very difficult to work with. Table Catering Co. has an exclusive catering contract and manages the Almquist venue. As long as Brooke and the Table team are managing Almquist, I would NEVER recommend it.It was clear early on that the venue’s mismanagement was going to be an issue, but we loved the Almquist Winery so much that we decided to do everything in our power to make it work. We hired one of Almquist’s “preferred” wedding planners in the hopes that they would have a positive working relationship. Unfortunately, as time went on our wedding planners repeatedly told us that Table’s administrative practices were “horrendous” and “unacceptable”. Eventually it got so bad that our planners (their PREFERRED planners) said they “were severing all future ties”.Table did so many rude and unprofessional things that I can’t name them all and stay in the character limits for this review. They didn’t show up for scheduled meetings and tastings. They sent us invoices with an illegal additional 2.2% tax charge (King County tax rate is 10.25%. They tried to charge us 12.44%). After months of reaching out and working together (and Jenny confirming our date), they made us change the date of our wedding because they didn’t want to book a Saturday for less than 80 people. After several rounds of invoicing from Jenny, Brooke added an additional $1,200 to our venue costs. Worst of all, a mere 20 days before our wedding, Brooke refused to honor our executed contract and tacked on an additional $1,000+. When we asked them to honor their written estimates and contracts along the way, their response was, essentially, if you don’t want to pay the higher price then cancel your wedding because another bride will pay us more. As our wedding date got closer and they kept finding new charges to add to our invoices and signed contracts we felt extorted. We had to either pay their extra fees or cancel our wedding at the last minute. In total we paid $11,718.59 to Almquist/Table for a 30 person wedding on a Sunday evening. This broke down as follows: $400 for a 3 person tasting; $2,325.00 for 3 food stations and 3 Hors d'Oeuvres; $1,670 for service staff (1 bartender, 2 servers, and 3 chefs); $3,300 for the event space (greenhouse and restaurant); $250 for a cleaning fee; $870 in bar charges; $1,052.29 in taxes; and $1,851.30 in mandatory administrative fees. The mandatory administrative fees are described in the contract as “Admin fee includes all gratuity and service charges”. Despite paying over $3,500 in wages and mandatory gratuities for 5 service staff, on the day of our wedding we received terrible service and the staff actively solicited additional tips from our guests. The bartender went so far as to put a tip jar front and center on the counter and place a $20 bill slung over the side to encourage our guests to tip more. It was incredibly tacky.
We couldn’t be happier with our experience at the Almquist Winery! The venue was the perfect backdrop on our special day. The food was incredible!!! The wine is superb! And the staff is beyond helpful and gracious. I wouldn’t have changed a thing about our wedding day and working with Almquist. Truly special and dear to our hearts forever now.
Almquist Winery is a gem in the middle of Seattle, WA (Queen Anne neighborhood). We had always planned for an intimate wedding of 40 people and this venue was absolutely perfect. As soon as I stepped onto the venue property I knew it was the one. I instantly knew that I wanted to hold the dinner reception and dancing in the greenhouse. We held our cocktail hour inside the restaurant and had our photo booth setup in the restaurant as well. If you are going to book Almquist for your wedding you must work with Table Catering Co. (which is absolutely delicious made by an incredible team). It was an easy choice for us. Your communication for your wedding event is done through Table Catering Co who are extremely responsive. They can take a bit longer during high wedding season, but this should not be used against them or anyone else for that matter. We did not use the wine barrel room, so I cannot personally comment on that space. We were very lucky with the weather and were able to use the public green space in front of the canal (behind the venue) for our ceremony. Highly recommend for you intimate event.
Absolutely a beautiful place
Ben was really helpful when I called. He gave me some winery’s to check out and also a website to see a list of the winery’s in Seattle. That kind of customer service is outstanding to me and I appreciate the kindness. THANKS BEN!
