Walking into Aluel Cellars on top of Queen Anne feels like stepping into a snug vineyard tasting room transplanted into the city. I settled in and chose their Aluel Signature Flight and their Aluel New Release Flight, each a carefully sequenced lineup of their handcrafted Washington estate wines. The Signature Flight had richer, more developed profiles while the New Release offered bright, excited youth. I paired them with the European tinned fish, sardines and pulpo that arrived in polished little tins, and asked about the oysters. The server said they often have them for pairing events, so depending on timing you might catch fresh oysters too. Compared to other wine bars or tasting rooms in town, Aluel strikes a rare balance: serious about wine craft but laid back in vibe, welcoming instead of pretentious, and offering well curated bites that elevate rather than distract.

This was our first visit to Aluel's Queen Anne location, and it was everything we expected. Friendly, knowledgeable staff, comfortable atmosphere, and great wine. We'd even climb Queen Anne Hill for it--literally! (Don't worry, though. It's super easy to get Lyft in the neighborhood.)
Delicious award- winning Washington wines from Walla Walla. Got the flight of 4 wines. They were all delicious but their plummy Merlot with eucalyptus was on point. They also have a decent variety of snacky foods as you sip and enjoy in their quaint Queen Anne tasting room.
Aluel Cellars is a gem in the Queen Anne neighborhood, and every visit there has been a delightful experience. Whether it's a rainy afternoon or a sunny day, the cozy atmosphere is always inviting. One of the highlights of our visits is chatting with Alex, whose friendly demeanor and wealth of knowledge about wine always enhance our experience. The wines are consistently delicious, showcasing a variety of flavors that cater to different palates. We loved their wine so much that we joined their wine club, and it's been a fantastic decision. Aluel Cellars has truly become our go-to spot for great wine and wonderful company. Highly recommended!

This Aluel Cellars location was a treat, just like the Capitol Hill location as well. The wines were very tasty and well priced, but the service was the stand out. It was quiet on a Friday afternoon, but the bartender made us feel welcome and struck up great conversation. Highly recommend!

We hosted an birthday party with approximately 30 guests at Aluel in May and it was perfection. Samuel (one of the two owners) was highly communicative which made planning, from the initial booking in April to the day of coordination, a breeze. Then, when the event finally came around Alex (the other owner) was one of the two staff on point to serve wine to our guests for the evening. We have been coming to the tasting room regularly for ~10 months and have always felt welcomed by the incredibly friendly staff and our party guests felt the same way. The service and atmosphere is exactly what you would hope for in a neighbourhood tasting room.
And let's not forget the wine! My husband and I drink a fair amount of wine, especially Washington wine, and we love the old world style wines that Aluel makes. There is something for everyone and the wine club always has fun events or offerings for special occasions (mother's day, etc.).
Highly recommend a visit (or 10). Samuel, Alex and all of the staff will make sure you have an excellent experience.

I love this little tasting room in Queen Anne. Their staff are always friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable. I’ve liked every single wine of theirs that I’ve tried, but their Coat of Arms signature red is particularly notable.

This was such a charming experience. Got a flight and a charcuterie plate. Leyla was the best! A great spot to unwind after work.
Dayna is an incredible host to curate the most amazing tasting! The Washington reds are decadent, thoroughly vetted by the palatal savants hosted at Alurl. You should visit.....
Dayna our server was so knowledgeable and cool. I loved how she knew every detail about our orders and samples, even down to how many varietals in the rose. This is a super evening hangout spot!
Good and fast service, delicious wines, all in a cosy and comfy wine-bar space.I recommend the artichoke dip with crackers!
Great wine in a great space!
