Went to Habesha Cafe for the first time. I discovered this place because it is very close to my neighborhood and my sister suggested it to me. Ordered their Spicy Beef Tibs Sandwich and Beef Sambusas. The others ordered these amazing dishes as well and they told me that it was delicious too! Very delicious and super fresh tasting! The atmosphere was very pleasant and cozy! Also, outstanding customer service!!! Highly recommended!!! Love love love it đ!!!
Very beautiful food and friendly service. We felt so welcomed here and enjoyed our meal a lot. The vegan platter for two was a colorful work of art and perfect for us to share. We had a quiet corner of the restaurant to ourselves which was really relaxing as well. Everything was nourishing and delicious, I'll definitely be back!
Would recommend this place.
Had the vegan combo and green chicken as a Sunday lunch. Both were good, especially the green chicken, tender, juicy, fresh tastes with the spinach.
Many vegan/vegetarian options.
Great atmosphere with excellent service and the food was delicious. We had Habesha combo special and it was perfect to split between two people. My iced coffee was also very good. Highly recommend!
Owner was super nice and the food was absolutely unbelievable. By far the best food Iâve had in Seattle, this is the first place I always recommend people
My partner and I got the Full Habesha Plant-Based Beef Vegan Combo and it blew our minds. There was not a single thing on this platter that did not wow. And even though it is HUGE, we ate the whole thing, because we didn't want to leave any behind. If you get this meal, definitely get the extra injera (which is sooo good). The worker was also extremely kind and knowledgable. It was a treat to be here, and we can't wait to go back!
This was a gem! My fiancé and I came in on a jot so busy time. We ordered the beef sambusa which we inhaled really quickly.
We then ordered two sandwiches and we finished it in less than ten minutes. It was so good.
Please come here. The man at the front was so sweet and attentive and I felt right at home.
My partner + I split a veggie combo a couple years ago + we both thought the greens were too bitter + didnât give âem another shot til we got a QR code for a free vegan sandwich (via the Intentionalist). I said âruh-rohâ when I saw the sandwich was full of greens, but we actually liked it! So we went back for the ful, which was a little underwhelming but good enough. The sambusas were the star of the show: greasy on the outside + healthy on the inside + served w/a sauce that sings. I donât like Beyond Meat, but they get an extra point for having the biggest vegan menu of all the Ethiopian joints in the city.
We have beef samosas, veg combo, green chicken, very delicious and fresh, even my 8y and 12y enjoyed and finish all!
Guy had an ugly look on his face whenever he interacted with me, was nice to the white people but wasn't nice to me. Not a shock but gotta make it known. Chai tea was hot but barely had any foam. Taste was okay but not worth the dirty looks and bias treatment. Nice interior with grocery options.

These reviews HAVE to be fake! They are AMYâS MERKATO on Door Dash, so beware and avoid! This was hands down, the Worst Ethiopian food EVER! And Iâve eaten a lot of Ethiopian food. First of all, they called me to tell me, they didnât have any boiled eggs. What if I ordered Doro Wat? It traditionally comes with a boiled egg. So I believe they were lazy and didnât want to spend the time to boil any. They didnât bother to tell me they didnât have the Gomen, I PAID extra for. And instead, they proceeded to give me the SMALLEST portion of chickpeas. I didnât agree to that substitution, why not call me about that too? Ayib was smelly and bitter. Overall, there was barely any food given. And what was given, was the TINIEST portions ever. The food tasted old, stale, BURNT and bitter. Didnât even taste like beef. Barely any sauce. And it was COLD! Normally, even if the restaurant is an hour away, my food arrives piping hot because it is surrounded by injera. This was definitely not worth $50 dollars. If I had a dog or a raccoon, I wouldnât even feed them this slop!
This place is great! Super friendly and awesome sandwiches.
Incredibly scrumptious. The injerji was fermented, cooked and seasoned well, and the toppings were bursting with flavour. Easily one of my fav restaurants in the city
Great food and service
My friend and I got the Full Habesha Vegan Combo and I seriously havenât stopped thinking about it. This dish had so much variety in the flavors and textures and combinations. The shiro was my favorite, along with the collard greens/spinach, but everything was phenomenal. The man working was so nice and confirmed which options were vegan, although the menu is meticulously labeled which always puts me at ease. This is a new staple for me!
