I had the arepa queen beef and didn’t like it. It lacked flavor and was dripping and soggy. It also was supposed to come with a sauce on it and it didn’t. I did like the empanadas and plantains. If I were to come back, it would be for the empanadas. I would try another arepa but the queen beef was not good.

They damaged the quality, the cachapas look like wafers and the pork rinds are fried skin, after being one of the good places.👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎

The number 1 is a great vegetarian option but I assumed the vegetables were going to be cooked and they were fresh. I think it could’ve been more flavorful if cooked but it was still tasty.

We had a very disappointing experience at Venezuelan Arepa Kitchen. Despite clearly asking for non-beef items multiple times, and the staff acknowledging our request by labeling the box “no beef,” all the food we received contained beef. This completely ruined our meal, as we could not eat anything. To make matters worse, the one cheese item we tried was also not good. This lack of attention to dietary preferences and poor quality food is unacceptable. Definitely would not recommend.

I've had a couple of the Arepas at the Bellevue location of this place, so I was pretty excited to try this out
I got the Llanera Arepa here, which came with shredded beef & grated white cheese
While not bad, I unfortunately have to say this falls well short of the ones I got in Bellevue

One thing that I don't normally care about, but it took 30 minutes to get the food. For a single arepa! The restaurant had like 2 other people inside.
On the positive end, the arepa was pretty stuffed with beef; if you're looking for protein, you're getting your money's worth here. While not amazing, the beef is still pretty good, and I wouldn't call it overcooked.
Also, just like with the other location, the sauces they provide you are fantastic. I especially like the mayo-garlic one

On the negative side, there are a lot of things done better at the other location. The arepa here was not as warm, the bread was of worse quality, and the cheese was excessively melted and only on the bottom rather than on both sides of the main filling. In addition, the bread didn't seem to be cooked at all, while the other location gave a much better char on the outside. This one just tasted entirely of beef all the way through

For the price, it's pretty filling despite being pretty cheap. Definitely worth it in my opinion

Overall, it's not bad, but I've seen the other location deliver on the potential that this doesn't live up to. 7/10

I cannot understand the good reviews of this place, I guess they are from the past mainly... Oily empanadas, worst arepas I have tried (with the dominant taste being old/not fresh chicken) and so overpriced food in general. Not recommended at all!

Been pretty satisfied both times attending Arepa! Quality is very high, meat is juicy, tender, and plentiful, tomatoes and spinach on my arepa were fresh. I love the hot corn flatbread as well. The food came to our table quite quick as well!
The reasoning for the 3 star is thus;
The whole meal was delicious, however the whole time I had the feeling it was sorely missing something. I think some more seasoning and a spice, as well as cheese or some other stronger taste to go with the meat would take it to the next level.
The other thing is the price. Price proportional to the amount of food. You basically get a sandwich for about 15 dollars with no sides, and on your way out of the establishment the old menu with prior prices is still up, disappointingly displaying original prices being about 10 dollars for most offerings. Unfortunately the value proposition isn’t the best, but I will definitely return to try more dishes!
