We ordered a birthday cake here, and unfortunately, it was disappointing. It cost twice as much as similar options from other specialized bakeries, and the worst part was that it didn’t even taste good. On the bright side, their monster cookie and some of their freshly made baked goods are fantastic. I’d recommend sticking to those instead! s great though!

I can't say enough great things about Askatu! This vegan, gluten-free, and allergy-free bakery is a Seattle gem. The staff are always welcoming, friendly, and so helpful—making each visit a pleasure. The breads are absolutely incredible; they taste just like traditional bread—no one would ever guess they’re gluten-free! And the desserts? Simply amazing. From cakes to cookies, every treat is perfectly crafted and full of flavor. Whether you have dietary restrictions or not, Askatu is a must-visit for anyone who loves delicious, wholesome baked goods and excellent coffee. Highly recommend! 5 stars!

Awesome place to get GF treats!
The gluten-free sandwich is really tasty, and the cookies are good, too.

Prices are high, and portions are small, but definitely worth it if you need gf.

What a delight! An allergy focused bakery with awesome staff, fun atmosphere, and delicious food. We were introduced thoroughly to everything since it was our first time. Didn't feel judged for my allergies. Will definitely be returning.

The chocolate cookie - with an entire bar in it - was stunning. The tea cookies were to die for. The coffee was fresh.

Dietary restrictions: They have it handled!

I rarely leave reviews. But I had to for Askatu!
They are AWESOME! I called to see if they had desserts that would work for my wife's birthday - we have a lot of allergies. They were great on the phone and it sounded promising. So, I went in. The team was GREAT! Enthusiastic, fun, energetic, knowledgeable, made wonderful recommendations, and readily shared their ingredient lists. I got a variety of items, and they were SO GOOD! Askatu puts the 'FRIENDLY" in allergy-friendly, and they are now our go-to bakery!

This bakery was phenomenal. As someone with celiac and and nut allergy I was able to eat here. The whole bakery is gluten free and the confections are good quality, and don't crumble or have huge holes in them like typical gf products. The owner and staff were such a pleasure to talk with and they were so helpful! And since i went in fall they had a pumpkin iced chai that was tasty.I definitely recommend the turkey pesto sandwich! 😋

The eggplant sandwich was so delicious! It can be difficult to find a place for my friends to eat since we all have different dietary restrictions, but this bakery was a dream!

Happy 5 years in business, congratulations on surviving the covid years and growing 👏 ❤️

I tried a breakfast sandwich, tea cookies, hand pie, and coffee. My favorite tea cake was the London fog. Owners are lovely humans who are wonderful neighbors I overheard several lovely conversations full of care and joy. They also love it when customers share art for their community art wall of doodles. I had a blast. Tight corners for disability devices but manageable. I highly recommend this business that is helping people with allergies savor the freedom of being able to eat out and feel safe. 💯🌈🥳🙏

Dietary restrictions: They are excellent, listen well and make their customers feel like beloved community. ❤️

Wheelchair accessibility: Small space with tight corners yet they will help accommodate as best they can. My device was a tight fit and we made it work.

The food and service are top notch! The brownie was moist and fluffy. The ginger softie was too sweet for me, but very soft and good flavor. Just found this place on a recent trip to Seattle I will be back :)

Dietary restrictions: Perfect for people with a wide range of food allergies. Very aware and accomodating!

The food was so dry! There’s better gluten free places out there in Seattle for my celiac friends!
