we ordered takeout tonight. The bagel roll is great, but the Spicy Tuna and Dynamite Roll were way too fishy, like it was not fresh at all. We couldnt even eat it after trying 1 roll each because it tasted sickly. The white rice also tasted like it has been sitting out for hours/days..very disappointed. first and last time trying it after spending $50 and only 1/4 of our meal was edible.

Came here the other day with low expectations and was pleasantly surprised. I ordered the volcano, dynamite, and unagi rolls and they were all pretty tasty. I’m always hesitant trying new sushi places because often times the rice is too hard or sweet, fish not fresh, and sauce-to-roll balance off, but Azuma made some pretty good cooked-fish sushi rolls. I’m pleased to have a neighborhood spot.

Very good sushi. Glad that we can dine in once again. Love the fact that they play Japanese music.

I have been coming to this place since I was a little girl and have always found comfort in the food they make. This is the place where I learned my love for sushi. I am now in college and still love to visit whenever I am home. Thank you Harry & Jennifer for your amazing service and warmth, you will be missed dearly. Best of luck in retirement!

I've been coming here for sushi for many years. I can't believe I have never left a review. Service is always polite, the sushi is great as well as the pricing. Thank you Azuma. I always love eating your delicious food.

patronize this business! excellent sushi and gyoza. I wouldn't mind eating in but I can respect their take out only mode when i visited.

Stopped by on a Tuesday to grab a quick bite. No dine in service was available so we took it to go. The food was adequate, and the people were friendly, but I won’t be back. There are plenty of sushi restaurants in this town with better quality to price ratios and more enjoyable experiences. Agedashi tofu was not good, rainbows roll was bland and Alaska roll was made of the least flavorful salmon I have tasted.

My family has been going here for years, but we haven’t gone the past couple years due to it being “take-out only”. It’s really sad because this place is great and I really wish they’d open back up for dine in. PLEASE DO DINE IN AGAIN!

Love going to Azuma as it’s one of the better Sushi restaurants in the West Seattle area. The owners/employees are very friendly and the food is good quality. Only downside is that Azuma has stayed “take out only” since COVID restrictions lifted. This would be fine if inflation didn’t make the prices skyrocket. Sadly, it’s hard to justify take out for such a high price. I would be much happier paying high prices for good sushi if we were able to sit down in the restaurant to be served and eat.

The food was good, but the prices posted in the online menu are not correct. They need to update that.

A great spot with tasty options! We ordered the Una Ju and Chicken Katsu. Both portions were very generous too! One of our favorite spots.

We were looking for sushi in W. Seattle and base upon Googles review and information we chose Azusa Sushi. After scrounging around for parking we entered through the back door only to be told that they were “take out only”. Since we were looking for a place to sit and have dinner we left as we weren’t interested in eating in our car.

Parking: Parking in the junction area can be a challenge.

I moved to this area in 2020, just before the COVID shutdowns. This restaurant looked like a great local neighborhood sushi place that I could go to a couple times a month - good neighborhood reviews at that time.Of course then everybody had to shut down for COVID. This restaurant has stayed Take Out only, which I think is a mistake. Their dining area is spacious and nice - and rent in the Junction isn't cheap. It's a shame that they are not using their whole space effectively. My wife and I have been wanting to try it for more than a year now that COVID restrictions have eased, but have been waiting for them to open their dining room. We couldn't wait any longer, so today we got a late lunch. A few rolls from the menu (dragon, dynamite, and crunch roll) and a special request - a spicy scallop hand roll.We waited a few minutes. The lady and the chef were friendly. We took the items to our home nearby.First the good - the presentation was very nice. All 4 items looked pretty good. And the not so good - it was much more expensive than expected, totaling $67 before tip, for the 4 items. The Dragon roll (shown on Google in an old menu) is not $23, not $16 - prices are up over 40%.And the bad - I think a lot of the seafood was just too old. Flavors ranged from 'tasteless' to 'something is wrong with this'. We didn't finish any of the items. For the first time in my life I threw away sushi. It was not edible. My theory is that the take-out only format is not allowing enough business to use the fish in time, which is disappointing because the people seem friendly and the space is nice. My wife has put this on her 'never again' list. At almost $80 for 4 items, I think there are plenty of alternatives.
