Bahn Thai used to be my favorite Thai restaurant in Seattle. Sadly since they reopened the food has changed and is disappointing. Have come back several times since the reopened hoping the food would improve but so far it has not. Prices have also increased.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Had an amazing experience at Bahn Thai, the service was truly excellent. The servers were incredibly attentive, filling our water glasses whenever they noticed they were getting low, and checking in to make sure everything tasted good, which it absolutely did.
We ordered the khao soi, fried rangoons, pork belly with sticky rice, and everything was flavorful and perfectly prepared. The Thai tea was so good, I had to order it twice, and their plum wine was absolutely delicious.
Huge shoutout to Sean, Hailey, and Paul, they were all amazing, and made us feel so well taken care of. I’ll definitely be back for the outstanding service, and even better food!

First the good. Green curry and the bbq pork appetizer was good. However, they Salmon salad was terrible.
Immediately upon serving, I took a leaf of lettuce to start eating and I noticed two dead bugs.
I pointed it out the server to which she asked if I wanted to change it.
Yes, I would very much like to change it because I did not order the bug.
So, I would recommend people to kinda avoid this place. This is a serious hygiene issue and I will be following up on this.

Very expensive for the food that we get.

Just tried the place on Emerson Street in Palo Alto – seriously buzzing! It was packed when we got there, but the hostess got us seated super fast. The food was fantastic, really flavorful and not too spicy, which was great. Portions were generous for the price. I think they could offer a regular noodle option for the Woon Sen, just a thought. Definitely worth a visit!

Just had dinner at 409 Roy St in Seattle – seriously delicious Thai! It was packed, which is always a good sign. The staff were super friendly and the food was amazing, huge portions too for the price. We waited a bit for a table but it was worth it. Maybe a little more seating would be helpful during peak times.

Just had lunch at 409 Roy St. Place was really buzzing – seemed like a popular spot. Food was fantastic, definitely flavorful and a good portion size for the price. The staff were super friendly. Waited maybe 15 minutes for takeout, which was fine. Maybe they could offer a slightly wider range of noodle options, but overall a great experience!

Nice looking place. Receptionist was very nice as well as the manager. Got take out, only had to wait about 10 minutes. Ordered the Fad Woon Sen, with level 4 spice. On the fence about the crystal noodles may have been better with regular noodles. Everything else was great.

Food is always so fresh and delicious! You can definitely tell they put their heart into their food. You have to try the drunken noodles and crispy basil chicken, it’s a must! Service is super friendly and attentive!

Bahn Thai Restaurant is a true Seattle treasure — the city’s very first Thai restaurant and still one of its finest. Stepping inside feels like being welcomed into a home filled with warmth, history, and the irresistible aroma of fresh Thai herbs and spices. Even on the busiest show nights, the staff remain wonderfully kind, attentive, and accommodating, treating every guest with genuine care. Each dish is cooked to order, one by one, with love and respect — a perfect harmony of flavors that showcase the heart of authentic Thai cuisine. Bahn Thai isn’t just a meal; it’s a timeless experience where tradition, hospitality, and passion come together beautifully. Bahn Thai will forever be my number one and go to Thai spot in Seattle!

Went in for a Saturday night dinner and spent $80 (after tax and tip) for two curry entrees and a Thai iced tea. The price did seem extreme for what we got, especially as you have to pay for rice separately after already paying $24 for curry. I know cost of doing business has gone up, and this is an expensive neighborhood, but we will not be back due to the price. The food was solid typical Thai food, but nothing special. I did expect a bit more wow. It was plated nicely

This place has gone to trash. 25$ for a single pad Thai which is nowhere close to their pre-closure taste is outrageous.

Won’t comment about the service and atmosphere since mine was a takeout order
