Excellent Thai food and cocktails. Ambiance is quite nice as well.

Service was reasonable and the ambience is comfortable. This was our 3rd visit since the change of ownership. We tend to order the usual suspects, Pad Thai Gung and Crispy Garlic Chicken, with one of the chicken curries and their brown rice. Noticeably downgraded was their crispy garlic chicken, it was over fried large pieces of batter with very very little dried up pieces of chicken within. As an afterthought we should have sent the dish back to the kitchen. However, they were getting busy and I didn't want to upset their busy flow of service. They absolutely need to address their crispy garlic chicken which is considered a mainstay special dish of most Thai restaurants. Again, I am not exaggerating the quality of fried pieces of batter coating tiny shreds of chicken, obviously 3/4 batter and 1/4 over fried batter, drenched in a garlic sauce.

It is a nice looking place, and the service is pretty good. However, the food is meh. They are skimping on the more expensive ingredients. For example, the Tom Kha Soup was about 4/5ths broth and the Pad Thai was about 3/4ths noodles.

I keep trying other Thai places, but Bang bar is my go to. The crispy garlic chicken is one of the yummiest things around. To eat in or take out, great experience.

I've been there twice. The first time I got the bang bar noodles and I love them. The spice was just right for me at three. I ordered them off of the lunch menu and it was more than enough for just me. I returned the next week in the evening and ordered the panang curry. It was a cold night. and I was looking for something to warm me up. It was a little disappointing it was watery. The chicken was overdone. Also, pricey for what it was. I guess for me it was a great lunch spot but not so much for dinner.

It used to be really good and overall a perfect Thai food place in West Seattle but the price had gone up so much like skyrocket high and the portion of the food is about half of the size it used to be

Something bad has happened to the quality of food here. I ordered takeout Including a dish I have ordered in the past... it was edible but not good. Also, the dumplings were a complete mystery. I was expecting something familiar... these were nothing like a steamed dumpling or gyoza.

The food is very good and prices are reasonable. We have only been there twice, but everything we've tried is delicious. We order dishes, which is too much for two people... but then we take home some for later! The staff is helpful in recommending the right food for your tastes. Their "one star" is extremely mild. Go for two or three stars at least.

Everyone in my party said it was just okay. Got panang but it didn’t come with rice. Also got drunken noodles and fresh summer rolls.

Unfortunately, an employee charged my credit card with a higher tip than I agreed to pay and I had to contact the restaurant for reimbursement. I don’t trust that I will be charged fairly here anymore.

Came for Saturday evening dinner, and found it delicious, at a fair price, with excellent service. We appreciated the inventive cocktails and the way every element in each dish was cooked right to soft yet crunchy perfection. We will be back!
