Food was good but there was zero service along with an expectation of a tip. You order at a counter they bring your food but you have to get your own drinks from the counter. You also also have to bus your own table at then end. We were un aware of this and a "waitress" stopped us from leaving and informed us of the "bus your own table" expectation. We left a pretty sizable cafeteria. shouldn't have, you don't tip at a cafateria.

A cool little spot with a great ambience until 1150 on a Friday night. They did last call at 11:45 and then suddenly started playing Freebird, turned up the lights, and stacking chairs on top of tables, while people were still sitting with the drink they just ordered. Super weird and unprofessional.

More of a bar than food establishment. However, this is a great bar and must see. Food was not bad, just not spectacular but still worth the price if that makes sense.

Bar Sabine was pretty packed on a Saturday night, and after having dinner at Asadero nearby, we decided to hit up Bar Sabine for some late-night cocktails. Even though we were the only ones waiting in line, we waited outside in the chilly Seattle night for 30 to 40 minutes. The wait made more sense once we stepped inside. The interior had tributes to Lord of the Rings everywhere from the decorations to the names of the drinks. They even had all three Lord of the Rings movies playing on different TVs at the same time. Although I do not know much about the franchise, I really appreciated the attention to detail and the tenacity to stick to the theme. The cool glassware matching the theme added to the vibe - like the White Hand of Saruman served in a black glass with a white handprint, or the Mirror of Galadriel with a mirror on a wooden box. I didn't check out the full menu, but I noticed other drinks coming in unique glasses, like barrels or mid-century mugs.I tried the Mirror of Galadriel, the White Hand of Saruman, and the Broken Sword of Narsil. The Broken Sword of Narsil was the standout, with fenugreek cream making it unique. It was so good that I had to ask the bartender for more cream. The White Hand of Saruman was on the sweet side, probably thanks to the condensed milk. The Mirror of Galadriel, with lavender gin and strawberry sake, packed more of a punch than I expected. All in all, the experience was worth the wait, and I'll definitely be back at Bar Sabine.

My husband, my friend and I went to Bar Sabine for dinner. We've been several times before and I have always had a good experience. I love the ambiance (high ceilings, large chandeliers, and bottles of liquor). They always have a rotating menu of specials and specialty cocktails. I generally enjoy their flavors and must praise them for their creativity (during Easter I once got a cocktail with a marshmallow peep). The service is always good as well: fast and friendly. Their servers are very attentive. During our most recent visit, we had a more mixed experience. My husband and I ordered Old Fashioned cocktails. The drinks were decent but not great. Each drink had huge bricks of ice (it felt like a molded skyscraper of ice). These cubes (bricks ) were nice to look at but they made it very hard to sip the drinks. The flavor balance was off as well. The drinks had a nice burn but lacked a little sweetness (the cherry was absent---I don't usually miss the cherry, but in this case, I missed the cherry). The food was generally good, but we also had some notes We ordered the Za'atar fries and mushroom humus as starters. Both were good. I ordered the eggplant special as my entree. The tomato sauce was a bit too acidic and lacked balance. My husband ordered the Sabine burger. It was dry and the bun was proportionately way too big (adding to the dryness). In summary, Bar Sabine is a generally positive experience. They could work to finesse their recipes a bit. It feels like there is a bit more attention on a esthetics versus flavor on some of the dishes.

Went for Seattle restaurant week. The food was TERRIBLE. I had to ask for sauce for this gross squash thing and salt and pepper and it was still inedible. The waitress could tell I hated it. She was nice but didn't offer to replace it or take it off the bill. When I tell you this thing was inedible I don't say that lightly. I love squash and all the ingredients too normally. I can't believe someone felt confident to give this to a customer. I really want management to contact me for a refund. I feel very ripped off that this was 35 dollars.

Went here on a Thursday evening and it was still pretty crowded. Great ambience, a variety of drink options and prety good, too. The staff was friendly and service was fast. We tried Fried Cauliflower, Labneh, Falafel and Za'atar Fries and everything was excellent! We had a great time here and would definitely be coming back.

Food was excellent. Service was bad - 15 minutes from seating until we saw the server for drinks, asked if we wanted extra pita for dips and never returned, had to ask the host to get our bill for us so we could finally leave. For the price and atmosphere, we expected a much more elevated experience.

Unfortunately received a drink full of bugs. My husband actually swallowed one before realizing there was 3 in the glass. Usually we can laugh about it and say "free protein" but the extremely poor service dissuaded us this time. Our server was very obviously annoyed with us the second we walked in

Restaurant had a line out the door, but there was bar seating available, which might be good to know! Both the food and coffee were tasty and a bit less expensive than I had expected and the bartender was super friendly!

We ordered zatar fries, caesar salad, kebabs, hummus, whipped feta, and 2 lamb burgers. The lamb was dry but the other dishes were pretty good. For 4 people, the total was $180 (we had 2 mocktails that were $12 each). The place is definitely over priced for what you get.We sat inside and they were blasting music which seemed unnecesarry so early in the night. It would have been nice not to have to yell across the table.

Everything was amazing, from the food to the service, we loved it! We ordered the steak, chicken and mushroom skewers along with pita bread and the rice pilaf. Everything was cooked perfectly and seasoned so well, like flavors were to die for! I also ordered the "show me the money" drink and an espresso martini those were both perfectly balanced and smooth af! We'll absolutely be back!

A great spot for breakfast on Ballard Ave. It's one of those places where you order at the counter and then they bring it to you. The outdoor area is big and full of plants - it's at the side of the restaurant, so not right on the street. I had the oat pancakes with apple butter and cinnamon crumbs. Delicious! Very good, thick bacon. Super delicious OJ - I'm not sure what made it so good, but it was. Excellent coffee.
