I’ve been here many times, but most recently this past weekend, and was served by the lovely Anna. Service here can sometimes feel a little impersonal and rushed, but, Anna took excellent care of our small party and made us feel welcome. Thank you! And watch out for Chads everywhere ;)

service is very friendly and approachable.
the place is super cute but the music is a bit loud. good place to go for one drink before dinner or for a night cap but it will cost you upwards of $40 for two people ordering one drink each.
drinks are Italian, or italian inspired, but the price pint is not. these drinks would be €8 in italy. very expensive for what it is. i can’t justify returning.
(save your money and put it towards that trip to italy you’ve been wanting to go on)

I think most see it as just a waiting area for the Walrus & the Carpenter, but personally this is more interesting a destination. There are not many Amaro bars out there, but it certainly broadens one palette which there selection of aperitifs.

This is can be your prefunk spot while you wait for a table at The Walrus and the Carpenter! Even if all the bar seats are taken, there's a parallel wall to stand and hang. Most of the drinks are bitter focused. The space is tiny and intimate, so don't expect to have quiet ambience here.

I'm not a fan of olives, but it does have the distinct strong olive flavor without the completely wilting texture. The bread service was extremely savor and good chew, so expect the salty whipped butter. The anchovies with butter saltine was a strong sea unami slam. The Preflight Checklist tasted like the description. We got the Italian Fruit Cup, good stuff. The N/A Spritz was a elevated alternative of OJ. The N/A Negroni tasted like alcohol, so don't be surprised. Our bartender Sharon has great energy and we love her!

Went on a Sunday night to their bar area while waiting for my reservation for Walrus and Carpenter. They give you free chips while you sip on your drink.Drinks were really good and the spot was so nice. Felt spacious especially with the wide bar area.If you are waiting for your walrus and carpenter reservation definitely stop here. They will also let you know when your table is ready and can bring your drink to the restaurant once your reservation is ready so you never need to rush. Not that the drink menu here is different from Walrus and Carpenter.

While waiting to go to the restaurant next door... having a cocktail here is a real pleasure!
This is a full bar that specializes in bitters! AWSOME. Great place to chill out when waiting to be seated for the Walrus restaurant. They know their drinks, the bartender knew exactly how to make a drink similar to a Negroni with the bitters!! It actually tasted better than the Negroni.
The restaurant presents a varied selection of fresh oysters that are carefully sourced and skillfully prepared. With attention to quality and craftsmanship, Barnacle provides a destination where both seasoned oyster connoisseurs and newcomers can savor the flavors of the sea in a refined setting.
A large selection of amari. Great drinks and service. Small venue though, so you may have trouble finding a seat. The olives were great and my wife loved the sardines. Love that they sprinkle salt on the butter for their bread and butter plate.

Spent some time in Barnacle waiting for our table at Walrus & the Carpenter and honestly sort of wish I had just stayed here. You can get some small bites along with fresh shucked oysters (and that tasty bread service) as well as cocktails, beer and wine. I preferred the service at Barnacle as well. The are about 15 bar seats and one larger table table in the back that will accommodate about six. There's also a railing to stand when things are crowded. All first come, first serve but most people move quickly so hanging out at the railing should get you a seat before you finish your first drink.Of note, they will come get you when your reservation is ready next door and transfer your tab for one payment post-dinner.
