I’ve tried pho from four places in the area and Basil Kitchen is on top. I always get the small vegetarian pho, and the portions are so generous. Even in the small there is plenty of tofu and veggies! I hate when I order pho and there’s only like 3 cubes of tofu on top. So I love coming here. The food is okay. Been here a bunch because it is so close. The food quality isn't consistent nor remarkably flavorful or of great presentation, and the prices are high for a student-oriented lunch spot. Sitting in the sun is nice.

A no frills restaurant at the U district features South East Asian Cuisine and very affordable my personal favorite is the beef pho with tripe good broth and clean flavors highly recommended

Vegetarian options: They have limited vegetarian menu but what they have is decent
