Food was okay.....service staff was overloaded and made for a bad experience.
We decided to try this place out last night (3/15/25) before a ballet performance at nearby McCaw Hall. We planned to eat a little over an hour beforehand as we've done at many other restaurants in the past without any issues.
I called ahead and made a 6:15pm reservation and when we got there I dropped my wife off at the restaurant while I parked. By the time I got into the restaurant I found that my wife still hadn't been seated. She told me that there was only 1 server who was also acting as hostess and online order pickup cashier. So, it took us like 5+ minutes to be seated even though we had a reservation, and then it took almost another 15 minutes before the lone server/hostess/cashier took our order. Long story short....we barely had enough time to scarf down our food before having to head out so that we could get to the performance in time. We couldn't even take our leftovers to the car (as was part of our original plan) as we were cutting it too close on time now. So like $65 for a rushed, half-eaten dinner.
To be clear, I'm not blaming the staff for this poor experience. It seems that management (or the owner) decided that a single server in a popular restaurant on a Saturday night is fine. I'm sure they just don't want to pay more to actually have the right number of people working. I feel bad for the staff but management is 100% to blame for this....and I saw that we weren't the only annoyed customers there.

My aunt and I went here for an early lunch. Service was excellent. Food was delicious. My aunt really loves her salmon with red curry.

We really enjoyed our meals. I think that asking for the spice tray with your meal is essential! The food was very good, but being able to spice it to your own preference really elevated it!
I think they may have underestimated the crowd on the day after valentines day.

My rack of lamb in curry was an amazing dish, large and delightful to the palate. I highly recommend it!
Prices were reasonable, rice was included with the meal (bonus points!), and the space was large - the vibe was fantastic.
The orange chicken my partner got was not as great - the pieces were disappointingly tiny.
I will go back to try other amazing selections!

Reserved table for 6pm. Arrived shortly before 6pm. We sat down quickly at the same time with another couple. 15ish minutes later we were moved to a different table. Said wait a minute waiter will be with you. 20 minutes later we still didn't have water or anybody came to check what we want. Other couple already had food and water. So at 6:35 we left.

Food was amazing. The seafood tom ka was very flavorful. The massaman curry with brisket was cooked perfectly. Service was great and very attentive. Brought us extra plates to share and an extra side of rice when we ran out. Boxed up our togos for us.

No one acknowledged us after 15 minutes of waiting. Wouldn’t recommend.
TEARS OF JOY. Not only is the crispy garlic chicken gluten free, it is delicious. I never thought I would be able to eat this again. I was in Seattle for a week and ate this for every meal except two. Didn't get sick once. They are doing it right and I am so thankful.

Service seemed to be a tad slow with only 1 person, but the food was really good, fresh and per expected spice level.
Parking: We parked at the Seattle center for the nutcracker and walked over.

This restaurant has good food but not enough hands for service and kitchen. One chef and one waitress to operate the whole restaurant business die in + takeout? Maybe I am wrong; the owner needs to hire more people!

I have been eating at Basilic for the past 3 years and I cannot speak more highly about this resturant. My go to order is the crispy garlic chicken, green curry, and the pad kee mao.
This is a fantastic mom and pop shop. Delicious food and my go to place for take out. Everyone needs to eat at this resturant. The staff is friendly and they give nice portions.
10/10 all around.

Hits the spot - great place that you get filled up with great flavors. Second time visiting and delicious
Ordered the lettuce rolls with tofu, crab fried rice, Thai iced tea & mango sticky rice (was a lot so took some home). Good ratio for crab to rice with the additional Thai fried egg. You get 3 halved rolls stuffed to brim with yummy sauce on side.
