I've been coming here now and then for a few years, I feel like it's gone downhill. The pizza isn't really that good, it's fairly expensive (5-7 dollars per slice), and the staff my last few times haven't been very nice. There are better pizza places within a few blocks.

Pizza was cold and the bottom crust was burnt on both pizzas. Would not recommend big Mario’s. I’d give them a 2 out of 10

This is the worst pizza place in town based on service alone. I haven’t gone here in over a year so I’m not sure if prices have gone up or if things have improved but these are the reasons I avoid this place.

The pizza is decent. The pepperoni is a little spicy compared to other pepperoni pizzas so it’s a nice little heat. That’s the only half good thing about this place.

1. The price. Absolutely absurd pricing for a single slice. Is it large? Sure. But it’s thin so you need 2 slices to fill you up and I’m not a large person. So you’re out $13 minimum but only if you…

2. Put the tip to 0 because it auto sets it to 22(maybe 25, memory doesn’t serve me well)%! The workers seem pissed off I came in to get a slice of pizza, talking flatly and not even greeting me. Why am I tipping you what I’d tip a server at a sit down place if I feel like I’m intruding and bothering you.

3. I paid and got my slices on a paper plate and asked if I could get a box because I had to walk a bit before I got home and they said it was an extra $1.50… how dare you. This was the death blow, the final straw.

I have not returned back here in over a year and I’ll keep it up for a lifetime. Go to hot mamas instead.

Pizza would be great if the sauce wasn’t inedibly spicy. When ordering online there’s nothing to let people know the original sauce is spicy, which was disappointing.

Was not expecting the sauce to be kinda spicy. I can’t really handle spice due to some issues I have so some warning would have been good and I don’t expect cheese pizza to be spicy by default.

Not for underage people but great pizza and reasonably priced. The only issue is if you have underage people in your group you'll have to sit in the garage which was not great but understandable. Would definately recommend the pizza though

The pizza here was pretty good, one of the better slices around Seattle for sure. I liked the food but it was really expensive for a pizza. A medium pepperoni pizza cost $26 + tax and takes awhile to cook.

The music in here is incredibly loud metal music, that doesn't bother me at all but it doesn't really fit the vibe that this place gives off aesthetically.

This place is also a bar, so if you want to sit in here and eat you need to be 21+ with an ID. I would actually really like that if it was less loud in here since I could go here knowing there wont be loud crying kids eating nearby.

Overall this place is fine. Considering the price, I wouldn't come here for a whole pizza. If I was walking nearby and wanted just a slice I would consider stopping in here for a single slice, as I think the pizza was better than hot mamas, or about as good, but different than pagliacci.

This is my baseline for seattle Pizza. The crust is great but I always ask for extra crispy reheat. They used to have more creative pies but now it’s pretty pedestrian in terms of variety. They used to have a gorganzola pear that was amazing.

Lots of reviews and now for my first negative one. Big Mario manager, let your employees know feedback is a positive thing. That’s how you get better.
One star for being open “late” on Wednesday. One star for friendly cashier.
I Agree with others reviews here, no salt on the crust and sauce was flavor free. Crust was also burnt on one of our pieces but we let that slide. Because of our love for BM initially wasn’t going to say anything.
But as I continued eating this flavor free pizza, I thought, I should tell this place, a place we have liked for years - this particular slice doesn’t have any flavor outside of the pepperoni. It tasted like cooked flour, with unsalted tomato product on top.
My expectation was a light apology. Maybe an offer for another piece or simply an apology. I understand kitchens aren’t perfect.
Instead I received some gruff angry response about “salt in pizza crust?” And some other under breath remark from the pizza cook.
I guess that’s how Mario”s rolls these days.
The hostess tried to be nice but the big Mario looking chef was not ready for any feedback. They simple walked off and the cashier moved on.
Well, here’s your star.
I now join the crowd calling Mario’s overpriced pizza, overpriced beer, and slices served with burned crust with NO flavor.
I suppose it maybe better drunk, and/or, after smoking. Or more stars if you need to watch sodium intake.
Whatever you do, do not let the kitchen know, they don’t take any form of feedback or criticism.
Should have waited in line at the other place 3 blocks west.
I will make sure to let people know that the kitchen crew is very sensitive, does not take feedback, and sells salt free overpriced pizza.

Iconic. Classic. Crust is to die for still to this day.

THIS is pizza. When that smell hits...you know this is going to be good. Absolutely fantastic crust to toppings ratio. Each bite gives you all the flavor. Great portions. The staff are so awesome. Genuinely friendly and helpful. Definitely get the Seattle cola to wash it down. Yummmmm!!

Savor the mouthwatering delight of pizza, bursting with a symphony of bold flavors that dance on your palate. Each slice is a warm embrace of melted cheese, rich tomato sauce, and a medley of fresh toppings, all harmoniously mingling to create an unforgettable culinary experience.
