We ordered online and they hadn’t received it by the time I got there. The guy working could not have have been more apologetic and made our order incredibly quickly.
Had a wonderful experience! We enjoyed every course, as well as the beautiful sunset view. The restaurant opens only for 2 months every year, and it’s maintained by a small and friendly team. Very special :)
Fantastic meal. Each course was the perfect amount and used super fresh and unique ingredients. Our server was very helpful and was able to recommend the perfect wine pairing with our meal.
Phenomenal seven course food and wine pairing for a price that can't be beat. All of the dishes were elegant and delicious, the wine was spot on, and service was cheerful, smart and crisp. It's incredible that a 3 person team is serving up one of Seattle's best restaurant experiences and best kept secrets. You must go as it's only open for two months each summer. Hugely memorable experience; we look forward to coming back.
This is a really interesting space. They're only open Friday and Saturday because they serve food to the dental school next door for the rest of the week. The space is very nice and has a very lovely view of Lake Union. It's all wood, though, so there is a pretty loud din and they'd be well served by adding some noise dampening. The tasting menu was a nice amount of food with a good variety of flavor and texture, and the wine pairings were nice too. We received lovely service and really enjoyed our meal.
Spare and clean and right on the water. I get the feeling the designer did not want to interfere with the naturalness. The choice of white decor accentuates the boats that float by perfectly. I never had gnocchi stuffed with ricotta but it was astounding. Complaint: portion too small. Top shelf location execution rivals any spot on the planet.
Fabulous meal. Elegant and refined food, presented simply, with emphasis on the quality of the ingredients themselves. Lovely service, great atmosphere, and can't beat the view!
Birch was that rare, lucky find that exceeded its promise of an exquisite dining adventure.
This was my second time at Birch. I took my very dear friend to celebrate her birthday and my previous visit was for my birthday. This is a truly gifted chef and he deserves at least one Michelin star. On both visits, I have had the "pescetarian" menu and every bite has been sensational. The vegetables are always a perfect accompaniment to the fish and the sauces unique and delicious. The dessert was a ginger ice cream and a chocolate cake that was in my top ten desserts ever. The presentation of every course is picture-worthy. Everything about Birch is excellent. The amazing food, the ambiance, the service. My only complaint is that Birch is not open all year around so that I can go back over and over again and bring all of my favorite friends to experience this exceptional restaurant. We were there for the final night of the season and will, sadly, have to wait until July of 2020 to come back.
Nicely decorated restaurant with great service. For the food, we had the seven course tasting menu, it was ok, nothing stood out. The portion was too small, most of us left while still feeling hungry.

This restaurant is awesome! We were on vacation in Seattle and Birch was highly recommended, it did not disappoint! The restaurant was easy to find and there was parking available. The decor was elegant and seating was very comfortable. The views of the lake through the large windows were amazing, we enjoyed watching the seaplanes take off and land. The wait staff was attentive and very knowledgable about the menu. My husband had; fried squash blossoms, sweet corn agnolotti and Alaskan scallops. It was all very good, he loved the combination of flavors. The scallops were cooked superbly! I had; heirloom tomatoes with basil and balsamic, ricotta gnocchi(amazing!) Alaskan salmon(best I've ever had!) and the peaches were an inspired addition. To complete the meal, I had the dark chocolate hazelnut tart. To die for! We highly recommend this restaurant! A must do for any visitor to Seattle as well as locals.
Easily the newest and best kept secret of Seattle's food scene. The food and wine pairings from start to finish are impeccable and quite honestly worth a lot more than what they're charging given the prices at other restaurants with a lesser-quality product. No disrespect to the other guys, but I'd recommend this place over many Seattle fine dining staples (i.e., Daniel's, the Met, Canlis, etc)!
While the tasting menu had a lot of courses (8), they were all too small; I left hungry. My favorite course was the rabbit, and least favorite was the venison. The venison had a thick cumin wrap that overwhelmed the meat.
Good spot for celebrating special occasions
Wonderful dinner-I was excited that it was beautiful food, unique, delicious and filling unlike some restaurants that focus only on the presentation. The wine pairing was amazing. It is pricey but worth it and we hope to go again next year when they are open for their short summer season. Really amazing dinner! Lovely experience in a beautiful setting.
