I was fortunate to rent the Black and Tan Hall for my 50th birthday party, and every single part of it was an incredible experience. Working with Camilo to figure out what I needed was easy. I told him what I wanted and he gave me a quote that was accurate and transparent. Next, let's talk about the food. Chef Tae has a gift in the kitchen. Everything was delicious. Also, I have food allergies, and he emailed me with all the ingredients for everything I ordered, and I knew ahead of time that I could safely eat all of it. I am so excited for the leftovers we brought home. I heard repeatedly from guests about how good the food was, and it really was. The bartenders were amazing. Friendly, well able to handle the crowd, and really helpful. This was a karaoke party, and the sound person provided the mics and kept that part of it all moving smoothly, and worked with my amazing karaoke DJ. I'm so grateful for how effortless everyone at the Black and Tan made it to host an event there. I would definitely recommend them and would host there again. Thank you all so much for everything you all did to make my birthday party so special.

This is a great spot to go to. Open Thursday through Sunday. They have Amazing food. This is a black owned business. The staff is friendly which is rare here in Seattle. Affordable concerts here are typically free to $20.

I recently celebrated my birthday at Black and Tan Hall, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The venue was warm, welcoming, and full of character, a perfect space for bringing people together. But what truly made the night unforgettable was the incredible performance by Yambambo.

Their energy, talent, and vibrant sound had everyone dancing and smiling all night long. Guests couldn’t stop talking about how amazing the music was. Yambambo brought such joy and life to the celebration, turning it into a night we’ll never forget.

Thank you, Black and Tan Hall and Yambambo for making my birthday extra special. I’m already looking forward to the next time I get to see them live!

I can’t say enough good things about Black and Tan Hall in Seattle. Recently, my family and I experienced a heartbreaking loss, and they opened their doors to us for a repass to honor our beloved friend. From the moment we walked in, we felt supported, respected, and cared for in ways that truly touched our hearts.

I want to give a very special thank you to Nadia Miller, the owner, whose kindness and professionalism made an incredibly difficult day just a little easier. She went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly, giving us the space and support we needed to celebrate our friend’s life with dignity and love.

The atmosphere at Black and Tan Hall is warm, welcoming, and full of history and heart. It’s a place built on community and care, and you can feel it in every detail. I am deeply grateful for their compassion and commitment.

If you have the chance, I encourage everyone to support and donate to this amazing establishment. Black and Tan Hall is a true treasure in our community, and places like this deserve to thrive.

Thank you, Nadia, and everyone at Black and Tan Hall. Your generosity will never be forgotten.

There was a young lady who is a bartender. Very friendly I tipped her and she actually has conversations with customers. Respect her and respect this spot. They also have affordable concerts that run usually $10 to $20. Please support this venue. The Lamb sliders and Loaded Chili Fries are amazing!

Love this place! Vibe is super community-oriented, friendly and intimate. Food is awesome - I can't stop thinking about the buffalo cauliflower, and lots of really solid vegetarian options (apparently the chef is a vegetarian so it's a focus, not an afterthought - and that's clear). And the music was great.

A great venue for private events and community hangs!! The staff were amazing and the communication was efficient and easy. Food and drinks were so good as well! Would love to see fries (more finger foods) on the menu, but other than that- I can’t recommend Black & Tan Hall enough, they’re a gem!

We came for the Black Excellence in Music event. Newly renovated, this was a very cool venue with nice acoustics. (*It does help that there were performers from both the Seattle opera and 5th Ave threater!)

We did not try the in-house foods, but the drinks were great, and so was the service.

Midas 5-stars for the clean acoustics and fun atmosphere.
