I worked with David at Blue Ribbon Cooking for my wedding catering, bartending, and floral decor and would highly reccomend using them. The ability to use one vender for multiple services was a massive stress reducer during the planning process. The team was flexible with what we wanted to do when it came to menu, using multiple colors of glass and napkins to meet our table decor vision, and supplying the bar. One of the most important parts of our wedding for me and my husband was good food that represented the PNW and BRC was able to do that on a large scale which is not always the case for wedding catering. We received so many compliments about the dinner and appetizers which makes me so happy our guests were pleased.

I can't say enough positive things about my wife's, and I experience with Blue Ribbon Catering. We were introduced to Blue Ribbon at the Seattle Wedding Expo and was instantly blown away by the services they offer, the professionalism in which they run their company by and the standards and friendliness in which everyone in the company holds themselves to.
From the tasting (which was a very fun experience we were able to do with ourselves, parents and friends) to working with us on food selection, everything went smoothly. Our coordinator took detailed notes of everything we talked about during the tasting and months later after we had solidified our guest counts and food options, she was able to bring all the notes on appetizers, entrees and desserts to help us make a decision on what we wanted.
The food at our wedding was delicious and the portions were huge! Nearly everyone came up to us at one point during the night and told us their steak was some of the most tender meat they've eaten in a long time and the salmon was cooked to perfection. (I would highly suggest the Steak with Cab Sav sauce and the Salmon with Dijon Cream sauce) They also supplied a bartender who was masterful at her job and kept the line running quickly! No one waited for a drink longer than two minutes.
I know people always balk at prices, but Blue Ribbon's costs are reasonable to the value, quality of food, and experience they offer.
Overall, our experience with Blue Ribbon was exceptional! Special thank you to Charles, Dave and our catering coordinator Kelsey! Anyone who gets to work with these individuals won't be disappointed. I will gladly use this company and recommend this company for any future catering needs. (Not just weddings!)

Blue Ribbon Cooking exceeded our expectations in every way possible for our wedding at Sander's Mansion. We used Blue Ribbon Cooking for many parts of our wedding (food, bar, decorations/place settings, floral, cake, coordinator, etc). I am so glad we made that decision! Right from the start, they were so responsive and helpful in every way. They made sure all of the details were taken care of and that we were happy with everything; it made it so easy! The food was SO good -- the quality and presentation. Everyone was talking about it! Our day-of coordinator, Kelsey, was so amazing, words cannot describe. She really cared to make sure that everything was taken care of; we loved working with her. As we were leaving the venue, my wife and I said "We almost never say something was perfect, but that was perfect!" I am so thankful for her and Blue Ribbon overall for making our wedding day perfect! 10/10 would hire again for any event!

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!! ??? Do not ever choose them to book your wedding. The list of complaints can go on forever but let me highlight what made it extremely infuriating for the whole experience.
Lack of ventilation: that particular day happened to be in the 90s degree, the AC was broken and they knew about it prior to the wedding day. They did not bring in any portable AC or box fan to circulate the air causing the 180+ guests to be sweating out of their minds. My makeup was completely ruined from the constant sweating. Everyone was so miserable.
Bartenders: 2 of the most incompetent people working there. Alcohol was supplied by the couple and their only job was to POUR and they couldn't even do it. Even my 5 year old could've done a better job than they did. Due to the lack of ventilation, guests crowded at the bar to get drinks, hoping to cool down but the bartenders were so slow with their service, it caused a massive delay. They also try to solicit tips from the guests and poured more alcohol when they were tipped. LIKE WHY ARE THE GUESTS PAYING FOR ALCOHOL WHEN ITS AN OPEN BAR?! The bartenders even turned some people away because they "looked drunk". And to remind you, everyone was sweating so much due to the poor ventilation and the guests mainly comprised of Asians. The Asian glow/flushed is inevitable even after one drink. Some subtle racial discrimination was noted.
Venue setup: after the ceremony was over, they had 1 hour to flip the room into the reception. The entire catering staff were scrambling around trying to arrange the tables and place setting. There was a diagram on how the setup should look like but they did not care to follow and just brought out everything causing a giant mess.
Overall, the service was an EPIC FAILURE! If I could give 0 stars I would. Heed my warning, save your money and choose another company for your important event. You will all thank me.

I have used blue ribbon’s services since 2019 for EVERYTHING from class parties at our house, their event spaces for all different sorts of parties, catering for my daughters’ private school, etc. They are always VERY friendly, EXTREMELY reliable and put together the BEST events with the MOST DELICIOUS food!!! I have never been disappointed with them. And I’m amazed at the constant creativity and new ideas they bring to the table for food and events. I also have many friends with very discerning taste and they have always been incredibly impressed with what blue ribbon accomplishes. They can do it all. And importantly, their staff is top-notch! We went through BRC for our wedding at Sanders Estate in Auburn and worked with Dave as our POC for catering and venue. Every meeting we had with him, he made us feel super welcome and heard. He always had extra options available and helped guide us when we were on the fence about certain things. He was also (obviously) very knowledgeable on how things were ran, tiny details we may have missed, and timing on when he would do certain things at the wedding. We felt super taken care of on the day-of and never had to wonder where our food or drinks or anything were. He worked closely well with our day-of coordinator as well and things went smoothly.
