I'd love to be able to rate what the food was like... if we ever got it, that is.
Yesterday, my husband and I went in to check out that place for the first time. We ordered some drinks, and after getting our drinks, our server seemingly just disappeared. Like, he served us our drinks, didn't ask if we wanted to order an appetizer, and left us for about 20 minutes with just our drinks outside. We wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt at first , but that quickly went away when we went inside to pay for our drinks and leave when we noticed that there was only 2 people sitting inside and our server was nowhere to be found, and another server was there who didn't even know we were waiting for food.
Very unfortunate situation. Guess we should've heeded the warnings from the other reviews.

Made a reservation here to celebrate my boyfriends birthday, a convenient location across the street from the hotel we stayed at. The atmosphere was really nice with the books and pictures, however there was no one at the host stand when we arrive for dinner, and no posted signage about seating ourselves so we stood awkwardly looking around until a bartender caught our eye and said we could sit wherever.
We picked a table in the back room and our server promptly greeted us. We got waters quickly and put in our food order. It wasn't very busy, only one other table had people in that room, but the food took a good while to come out. Not too long, but it was odd considering we ordered the bread to share as an appetizer, but it came out at the same time as our entrees.
The bread was VERY crunchy. It tasted good, and i love crusty bread, but it was a bit too much even for me.
The fish and chips was really good. The fish was juicy and crisp, and the fries were tasty. The burger was fine. Nothing amazing but it was tasty and that's all we really wanted. We asked for it medium and it came out a perfect medium.
Service felt a bit disjointed and I had to flag down our server for the bill even tho only one other table had sat down. I was surprised when they didn't ask if we wanted to order dessert and there hadn't been any mention of the birthday.
I would give it another shot on a more casual outing, my boyfriend definitely wouldn't give it another shot. A bit of a mixed bag, so 3 stars.

Service was okay. We were in a big group, and took awhile to get served (had to flag our waiter several times). Considering gratuity is included for large groups, expected better service. Food though was delicious!! I also wouldn't call this a bookstore. Appears to be just for show mainly for ambiance and setting. Overall, enjoyed my evening and the food.

The Bookstore was CLOSED when we checked into the hotel. The lady at the front desk did give us an excellent recommendation across the street.

the service was attentive and top notch, without being overbearing, never wanted for anything, the food, and drinks came out timely, and dessert was offered as the table was being cleared, highlight of the night was the chef stopping by our table to find out how everything was!!! definitely come back here, taco tuesday rocks! parking was easy at 7pm, i know sometimes it can seem challenging but, im lucky enough to never have had an issue with it -overall this place was fantastic, stop reading!!! Go HERE! thank you

Great location, great selection of drinks. Service was so slow and disjointed. I am not sure who our server was but I had at least three ppl wait on us. We were going to eat there so I checked the reviews as I was sitting at our table and decided against it. Maybe next time! Your decor is incredible; I wish the attentive service match that.

Love this place! Vi is so friendly and attentive, and even though she was busy, she constantly had a smile on her face. Overall, the vibe was very friendly. Worth a trip back to Seattle!
