Bounty Kitchen is the sort of establishment that wraps you up in warmth the moment you walk in. The food is vibrant, nourishing, and made with the sort of care that only love for the food and people can create. The atmosphere is cozy and full of life, and Meg made us feel like old friends visiting her kitchen. You don’t just eat here, you feel at home. I’ll never be in the neighborhood and not look for a reason to stop by.
This is my go-to restaurant whenever I'm on Queen Anne. The owners are so kind and funny, and the employees seem to really enjoy working there. As a former server and manager of a restaurant, this matters so much. I got the spicy green juice, loved it. The French lentil bowl with a poached egg, incredible. I used to make Bryant Terry’s recipe for Hoppin’ John every New Year’s Day, but chronic fatigue got the best of me. I still gotta have black-eyed peas + collards for “luck” + the potlicker bowl is the best option I’ve found in Seattle. I regret not plating it for the pic bc it’s a helluva lot better than it looks in the takeout box. A pile of delicious greens is hiding under the polenta!
