I used to make Bryant Terry’s recipe for Hoppin’ John every New Year’s Day, but chronic fatigue got the best of me. I still gotta have black-eyed peas + collards for “luck” + the potlicker bowl is the best option I’ve found in Seattle. I regret not plating it for the pic bc it’s a helluva lot better than it looks in the takeout box. A pile of delicious greens is hiding under the polenta! Last year I had to add salt, but this year it was a perfectly seasoned 10/10...
Incredible space; the food is so fresh and delicious, and it’s a welcoming little space in a fun area. They are very accommodating for gluten free and vegan needs, the gluten free cinnamon roll on the weekends is one of the best!
This was my first time at Bounty Kitchen, and I had a great experience. The salad was BOMB! I mean just delicious. The owner, Meg, introduced herself and, she was so sweet and welcoming!
