Not as good gravy as there used to be and the Jean Marie scramble was dry and overcooked to where there was little flavor left. Waitress questioned two customers in a rude way about their orders. French toast was amazing. Still love the hash brown potatoes!!! So delish!

The lady is so nice and friendly. The food was amazing. Best hot chocolate ever, pancakes are HUGE. The gravy for the biscuits is the best I have ever had. So much food for such good prices and the food is so good for the prices as well. The place inside is so cute family photos everywhere and cute antiques everywhere as well.

Kid-friendliness: I had my newborn and the lady helped me get a good spot for the stroller so it wouldn't get in the way and I could sit and see my babys face easily.

Waitress immediately greeted us with an attitude. We didn’t even get past ordering and we decided to leave. Vibes are foul. Don’t go here.

Food is okay, service is decent, and the atmosphere is cozy and quiet. I don't think I would come here again, but it's a decent quick spot to grab food.

I've been a customer for over 25 years, came here on weekends for pancakes when my kids were toddlers. It's been a long slow downhill slide for this place, and this will be my last visit.

Used to be kitschy with a family feel, now it is gross and dark and grimy inside, and mother and daughter are surly and no fun. Prices are high for the quality of food, but that's understandable in Seattle. Food quality is typical diner, how hard is it to screw up eggs, though this time mine were runny for the first time in 20 plus years.

Really sad to see them fall this far.

Three coffees, two basic omelettes, and eggs and bacon came to 75 bucks including tip.

Be forewarned.

You will get either uncooked or lead pancakes terrible tasting an ill tempered service who obviously didn't get any sleep and who only likes groups of heavy eaters because the owners just want your money and this place is very expensive for less than mediocre food and rotten service. You'd seriously probably be better off with a burger king breakfast!

Wonderful waitress and hostess. Unfortunately the foodcwas standard. We did not notice anything special about the flavors. However, the actually had warm syrup with the pancakes. Finally, someone thinks about the customer. Cold syrup on rapidly cooling pancakes is something that should be a crime. And yet...so for this reason I would go back here and have warm pancakes with warm syrup, again

I read the reviews and decided to give this place a try. First impressions are everything to me. This restaurant has a homey and welcoming atmosphere. The service was prompt but not overly friendly, the waitress never once checked to see if I needed anything or how I was enjoying my meal. The meal was just ok. I ordered my eggs over-medium and they came out over-easy( mist restaurants can't seem to get this right.) Chicken fried steak was small but had decent flavor and potatoes were good but not great. I left still hungry and I paid a total of 28 dollars including tip. I know this review is not going to shut them down, they've been here for years and I'm not here to do that. Like I said, "first impressions are everything" I was not impressed and probably won't be back just on the fact the service was, sub-par.

I live in Lake City and I always walked by it and never went in, but today I decided to finally give it a try. I ordered the eggs Benedict w/potatoes and it was so good! Well prepared and a generous portion. Fast service too! Would return and recommend :)

Pretend like you just traveled back into the 90’s and put your cellphone away. Enjoy a good meal, their only friendly server and her family. A home away from home.
