Food can be better, pretty basic flavors and simple things like warm bread with the burrata dip is missed. Wine selection is great and the staff is great! One big issue I had was a stupid 5% fee that goes straight to the restaurant which I refuse to support business that use this tactic. I will go back one day but not a place I will frequent.
Response- you are in the very low percent of business that use this tactic that seems a bit dishonest.

Really enjoyed the friendliness and charm here. The ripped potatoes are Most Excellent as are the heirloom tomatoes. Appreciated the crunchy buttery take on bread. And the breadth and small twists of the Mains. Nice time with friends!

Creative, delicious dining experience! We celebrated our anniversary at Brimmer & Heeltap and had the most lovely evening. The waitstaff is warm and friendly, the mixed drinks are fun, and the food is delicious! The menu changes by season, so it’s fun to see what is new! Definitely one of our favorite restaurants in Seattle!
The entire staff signed a card for our anniversary! I just love that!

Exceptional dinner. We started with warm crisp bread baked and full of flavor. The muscles can not be missed! The hanger steak and mushroom dish were equally delicious. The seasonings and broths/sauces could not have been better. Topping our meal with tiramisu and olive oil cake was just right. We all could not have been more pleased with our flavor filled meals. The crew was beyond friendly.

Best dining experience from top to bottom I’ve had in ages… While the food, particularly the carpaccio and the squash & burrata dip, were phenomenal - the service was exceptional. When we asked to try a few of the by the glass wines, we weren’t made to feel like it was a huge put-out, it was encouraged and we settled on a bottle of the so, so lovely Chenin Blanc. Also, it was my birthday and I got a candle & signed card from the staff! I feel so thankful to have dined again in this neighborhood gem after many years… Thank you so much to everyone who made us feel so special on Saturday.
I love the atmosphere and the food and service is good, but I don’t like the way the restaurant chooses to gouge the customer by adding a fine print 5% surcharge to the bill, and THEN adding a 20% tip on top of the subtotal with the surcharge. Seriously, just show the menu prices with the surcharge and stop the sneaky tactics on consumers. I want to tip my wait staff directly and want honest pricing. This just leaves a bad taste.
Love this place for breakfast. Food and coffee is excellent. Plan to try for dinner at some point.

We had a wonderful dinner at this neighborhood gem. The atmosphere was cute and unpretentious. Great wine list, and we enjoyed every morsel we ate.

This review pertains to a private event we booked at Brimmer & Heeltap. The event was for a college in the midwest to meet with alumni in Seattle. Emma was great to work with to plan our event, especially when our registration exceeded our expectations. They allowed us to use the patio as well for a short time until we were ready to be seated for the program. The food suggestions were wonderful and received many compliments from our guests. Dana took care of us during the event and was personable, helpful to our guests and especially great at continuing to be attentive during our program without being a distratction.
It is a little scary to plan an event long-distance with only pictures to decide if the space is a good fit for the event. Emma and the staff were a huge part in its success.

Awesome vibe and many unique choices for food.
We were very amused by the big chonk of bread they served us, and we were confused at first about the lack of butter. But then we took a bite and realized the butter is definitely in the bread already.
The flavors of everything were pretty intense, a little too intense for us, but still enjoyable nonetheless.
The Hanger steak wasn't quite what I was expecting, it was small, charred, and drowned in an overwhelmingly sweet sauce. The Radicchio salad was great, but also sort of drowned in sauce, same with the carrots. We pretty much stopped halfway through the leftovers to save room for dinner, and we did notice it took quite a bit.
My steak was lukewarm by the time it arrived, I noticed my boyfriend's chicken was still steaming hot.
Since we had already been waiting for a while and they were nice enough to have our leftovers from appetizers packed up for us to make room on the table, I wasn't sure what to say. It was honestly still a very good vibe and we are already talking about coming back.
I love the back room and the teal bathroom is amazing, that's one of my favorite colors!
My only critique is the over-sauced food.
Kampachi Crudo had a nice spice level that had heat but wasn't overpowering.
Skirt steak and king salmon (gluten free) we amazing.
The sorbet for desert was perfectly sweet and refreshing after.
Cocktails were top notch, old fashion with rye and a martini.
