We hosted a private family brunch party at Brimmer & Heeltap. They sent a lovely menu of food choices, both sweet and savory, so we could make buffet selections ahead of time; service was friendly without being intrusive; they provided for several dietary restrictions; coffee drinks were excellent and mimosas were festive. Brimmer & Heeltap made it a very special event for us and we were delighted!

What a wonderful place. My wife and I stopped here to celebrate her birthday and we have nothing but great things to say about our experience. We went for happy hour because OYSTERS! Yum! They were exquisitely prepared and tasty and so so fresh. Our waitress was incredible. I believe her name was Darby! She was so attentive, went over her favorite items on the menu with us, and had excellent recommendations. Every single item we had was made with love- you could just tell. Our personal favorites (though everything was amazing!!- can’t express that enough!) were the smashed and fried potatoes from their small plates, and the elote corn dessert dish (which they brought out with a candle and a hand signed card from the staff!! ???)

I am tempted to write a terrible review because the more people who find out about this place will want to go, which means it will be more difficult to walk in without a reservation, but it was amazing, and I need everyone to know it! We walked in with a group of 8 people for Saturday happy hour and it was awesome!! They were really nice, food and wine were delicious. Thank you for taking care of us!

We have eaten at Brimmer & Heeltap on a number of occasions over the years and have had nothing but amazing experiences each time. Most recently, we were looking for an event space to host a family celebration and I recalled their private space in the garden. We sent off an email and were very excited that our Saturday evening date was available to book. I worked with Emma who did a perfect job coordinating all details of the evening so, as she said, we could all sit back and enjoy the night without having to worry about anything. I heard nothing but compliments from all 20 guests throughout the night and our dinner was an exceptional night of joy and incredibly delicious food. If you are looking for a quiet, intimate night out, come here! If you need a private space to host a small party, come here! If you are a goup of friends looking for a great dinner, come here! Thank you so much to the entire restaurant for being a part of our celebration and making the night even more memorable.

However, I was disappointed to find a 5% surcharge added to the bill, to ‘offset rising costs of goods.’ This additional fee is the reason for my lower rating. I hope the restaurant will consider either including this fee in the listed prices or removing it altogether.
We love Brimmer & Heeltap! A super cute neighborhood restaurant with great vibes and great food. Both indoor and outdoor seating. Great for dates or groups. Clams, bread, crispy potatoes, hamachi crudo, crab sopes, all of their shareable plates so good! Tagliatelle and cod for mains are delish.
My only complaint is that some of the prices are a bit steep. For example, $40 for a pound of clams seems a bit much. That’s why we go for more small plates.
Delightful staff and service. The food was amazing. The elote cake dessert is not to be missed if it’s on the menu.
I met a friend here who lives in the neighborhood and we had a very enjoyable time outside. Our server made the best recommendations and everything was so good.

Stunning. There is nothing I didn't like about this place. Lovely attentive service, a real feeling of generosity. Clearly a neighbourhood gem. Really excellent food, not overly fussy just very very well cooked. Lovely decor. Fab natural wine selection. For people that want amazing food and wine in a place that isn't about loud music and "vibes". Though of course the vibe was lovely.
