I stumbled into this place when I was looking for a quiet spot to get some work done. I was extremely impressed by the nice ambience, quality customer service, and delicious drinks. I will definitely be back.

We had the grilled cheese & soup and the chilaquile bowl. Both were amazing. The food was super savory and stayed hot throughout. We left feeling like we had gotten a warm hug! Yum!

It’s a shame, if this place was cleaned up a bit more it would have a solid 5/5. It has a nice atmosphere and the coffee was great but it was a bit grimy if I had to describe it in one word.
Got a holy mole mocha and avocado tartine with lox. As mentioned earlier, the coffee was great but the tartine was just alright. Some parts were cold, others were warm, and the avocado had spots on it, which I normally wouldn’t care if it was my kitchen but I would expect better if I’m paying for it.
Edit: Increasing my rating to a 4/5 from 3/5 after the owner’s response. To the owner: I appreciate your response and would definitely come back to support the business. I understand it’s an old building and dust build-up cannot always be addressed but it would be great if tables and chairs were at least wiped between customers or every couple of hours. We visited on a Saturday and it seemed like there were quite a number of employees working and talking in the back area who might be able to do a quick wipe down and trash clean up. Regardless, thank you for your response.

The food was excellent and the coffee just as good. Great value for the money, though parking was a bit tight.
I'd post pix of the food but by the time I thought to do so, I had eaten it all! Thankfully others are posting pictures. :)
For sure a hidden gem here in Seattle.

Enjoy a delicious avocado toast topped with crispy bacon and a fresh egg! They also have a tasty turkey sandwich, mouthwatering grilled cheese toast, and don’t forget to try the comforting daily cup of soup on the side. Perfect for a cozy meal!

We had an incredible time at brother Joe. Chelsea has great customer service makes you feel welcomed and goes over and beyond to make sure you’re happy. I came in from Bozeman and stopped for breakfast sandwich great place if you’re coming or going to the airport. Everything is made from scratch she even makes her own Chai And it’s the best I’ve ever had!

Scrumptiously stylish coffeehouse with a gold rhino and interesting art. The espresso, pastries, breakfast sandwich, and chilaquiles were all on point. The barista was very kind and helpful. A worthwhile stop in Georgetown, we will be back!

Why is no one raving about the Mac n cheese?!?!?! It’s INSANELY good, cheese pull, noodles are larger so the thick, cheesy and really well seasoned béchamel sauce costs in the inside and outside of the noodle.10/10 Mac. I’ve tried a lot in my life… I think it’s the best in Seattle imo!!!!!! Turkey and bacon sandwich was better than I expected, aioli tasty, fresh veg and focaccia amazing. Miso honey coffee was the cherry on top :) cozy couch cushions to eat on, this place is lovely!!!

Best little coffee shop I’ve been to in a while. It has amazing food, I had the ham and cheese raclette which was off the charts tasty. The inside dining area is very nice with comfy chairs, which makes it a great place to do work if needed. They also have good WiFi and music!

Everything I’ve had from Brother Joe is delicious. The food, the coffee, all yummy! My favorite? The croissant BLAT with a fried egg added. It’s crunchy and warm and messy and juicy and is SO SO GOOD!! I think about and crave that sandwich all the time! Highly recommend!! ♥️

Highly recommend checking this place out. The aesthetic is on point- super cozy and cool. The bartender was charismatic and clearly passionate about everything they serve. The sandwiches and coffee were both fantastic. Definitely a spot I’d come back to.
