Loved this super cute cafe that reminded me of my own college days ?We ordered coffee and a goat cheese with fig jam sandwich and a breakfast dish with a veggie omelette and fries. The sandwich needed more cheese but overall it was ok. The eggs and potatoes were fine for the price. The prices are pretty low compared to other cafes in Seattle. The only problem is that it seems like the bathrooms don’t get any proper cleaning.Overall I think it is a good place after a walk around UW campus to get a coffee and sit for a while.Vegetarian options: There are tons of vegetarian sandwiches with cheese and eggs.

I have dined in to eat at this place multiple times and enjoyed their meals, but Saturday I was sadly disappointed.I do recommend this place, but I have learned now it is if you go 2 hours before they close and that you dine in. I'm just really disappointed because I loved this place. I no longer will be recommending Byrek and Baguette to the other business workers on the University Way Ave that I work with and the departments I work with at the University of Washington. My experience: I always order the vegetarian breakfast sandwich, and it was my first time ordering (called around 3:15). I paid $10 for a sandwich and it was half the sandwich size. By the time I got back to my work, they were already closed, so I could not go back. My sandwich looked like the end of a loaf. It was really tiny and the bread wasn't toasted this time. It was soggy and what was in the sandwich fell out and was in the box because there was no bread holding it together. For $10, the sandwich needs to be worth it, especially when I have had this before and know what I should be receiving.I called the next day when they were open, and it was the same gal that helped me the day before. She was nice, apologized, but said that the reason is because they were closing the kitchen. If you are closing the kitchen 45 minutes before closing, you need to change the times customers can order so they receive the same service as customers in the morning and afternoon. When I called, they were busy so I thought I would write my feedback on Yelp just so people know when is best to go to this place. It was disappointing that the business did not compensate with a voucher or anything for the situation. INSTEAD THEY ASKED ME NOT TO PUT A REVIEW ON YELP because I have had good service before. So what were they going to do to fix this time though? They did not do anything. A business that does not compensate for the times that they mistakes with customers is not a place worth visiting.

Delicious and super cute spot. Ignore "for lease" sign in window- it is for space upstairs.

I've eaten here several times and I see consistency of a clean inviting atmosphere, delicious food and pastries. Great spot for affordable full meals. I ordered a Mediterranean omelette which comes with potatoes and your choice of bread, I chose sourdough. Also got some walnut baklava and it's yummy! Must use street parking.

A nice, cozy breakfast and brunch spot. It's mainly Mediterranean with a touches of French and Spanish. The salads are very good and reasonably priced for the quality and quantity of food. The scrambles also look great, though I haven't had them yet. The Byrek pastries look like a nice quick snack, though I haven't had them either. The exterior is very discreet and easily missed. The interior is warm and fairly spaceous. Somewhat surprisingly there were a few people on laptops.Vegetarian options: Several options in just about every type of food offered.Parking: During the day it can be difficult to find, but it's only a couple blocks from the U-district light rail.

It's a quiet and dark space but once you get inside super spacious. Odd that the register is in the way back! Self seat and seat buss your table. We had the French toast, roast pork baguette and spicy omelet. Food was tasty but nothing out of this world.

Cute space, haven't tried our food yet because we were the only ones here and ordered two breakfast baguettes to go and proceeded to watch 6 other tables come in, order, and get their food. When asked if we'd been forgotten the server was rude and would not acknowledge she'd forgotten to put our order in. Almost 30 minutes later we got our food without so much as an apology.

You know, I used to love this place. I loved the decor and plants and concept. I still really enjoy the byreks, but the last 3 times I've come here this year the service and coffee has just been terrible. I don't think I'm being unreasonable or difficult, but burn the coffee, forget to make my order, and then undercook it, it's just too much. What should have been a 10 minute order ended up being a 40 minute experience. Suggestions I have, replace the people with more plants. Until then, I won't be coming back to this location. The one in cap hill is nice.

I would say the byrek I got was decent. It was healthy but delicious with the sour cream which really brought out its flavor. The service wasn't too long nor too short. The setting of the area was really cool to see and how they have multiple spaces that gives off different vibes which coincidentally works.

Cute place for brunch. The bread is soft and fresh with a slight crisp exterior. The pork sandwich was really juicy and full of flavor, chicken pesto was also yummy, fries were excellent! Service was slow when we went at noon on a Tuesday but at least they let us know before we ordered. The salads also looked fresh and there was a nice selection of pastries I would like to try next time.

We ordered the slow cooked pork and chicken artichoke baguettes + the apple byrek to go!The pork baguette was our favorite and would recommend it. The portion is enough to be full after one sandwich but if you're feeling cheeky you can add fries to it, which we saw a lot of students doing. The chicken sandwich was also good but would choose the pork one if we could only choose one. Wish there was more artichoke! The byrek was interesting but I think the sandwiches and coffees are the most popular things here. Inside is more spacious than you'd think and there's a nice buzz of energy. The staff were holding it down on a busy morning, kudos.

This place is possibly the best find of our trip! Conveniently located in the University district right by a paid parking lot, they make fantastic food and drinks, offered in a delightful and comfortable environment. Staff was on their A game, And we were able to order a really fast. They let us know our order might take a little while which was fine. Considering how busy some of the other restaurants were, this place is a bit of a hidden gem!
