Cold, pre-made sandwich for $18 + tip which was pre-selected at 22% for counter service. The sandwich was decent, but when considering the price was not worth it for grab n go. Their bar next door, which we were told we could take oir food into to enjoy it with a drink was a confusing set-up, minimal service, no music playing and an automatic 5% tip- just enough so you don't really notice.

Stopped in for a morning coffee and pastry. Coffee was good, pastry fresh and tasty. Staff were friendly and welcoming. While waiting for our coffee we watched them baking breads in the adjacent kitchen area. Although not an extensive menu, whatever was on offer was obviously fresh and probably made that same day. Interior is very cold and industrial. Not exactly a place I’d want to linger over coffee. They seem to do a big takeaway business.

For some reason at 4pm they had no coffee of any kind and a “popup” menu. I ordered a mushroom grilled sandwich and it took about 20 min to arrive. Bread was a little burned and the meal was mediocre. I am not sure if it comes with cheese but I couldn’t detect any.

Still likely a good spot for coffee based on reviews but it seems they don’t serve coffee all day?

excellent Chai that was heartwarmingly spiced and blessedly void of typical tooth-rotting sweetness.
Staff was friendly and personable, while the location was clean and comfortable.

I would highly recommend the cookies

Cafe Hitchcock is near the bridge to the ferry terminal. The food is simple and enjoyable and a rustic feel to the cafe. Music good.

That Focaccia though. Amazing Sandwiches. Gave me a refill on my iced tea. The vibes are good but for some reason the place feels a bit sterile. More color, plants, and art would help. Overall though I will definitely be back! Thanks for the lunch 💜

I cannot believe I just paid $26 for a good coffee, great fresh cookie and a dry flavorless chewy tofu (not in a good way) salad. And, as is the trend these days, the system starts at 20% tip for counter service. He literally pointed me at a self serve rack.

Will def return for coffee, as a food venue it’s disappointing at 11am on a Tuesday. Maybe other food is better but the premade weak cabbage salad was super overpriced - was expecting a properly tossed and freshly plated salad at that price point.

Staff was friendly and seemed genuinely eager to answer questions. The coffee was beyond expectation. A full arsenal of flavors. The sandwich was outstanding. The crust on the bread was crunchy, the bread soft and warm with a delicate toasting to it. The bacon was thick and meaty. The eggs perfectly cooked into a pillow. My only regret was finding this place on my last day in Seattle.

Had a coffee and their bacon sandwich on sourdough, a lot of sandwich for the price, and coffee was great!
