Great study spot. the 5/5 is for the coffee. I think it's the best on the Ave and would go out of my way to pick some up before heading over for class. Haven't tried any of the food though. Great staff and spot to study.

Staff that lack the nuance to differentiate bad service from caustic indifference.
They tossed the Americano onto the pickup counter so abrasively that it splashed everywhere and they didn’t even bother to acknowledge the mess or to clean it up. Pathological behavior.

Despite being in alley that smells, it was a cute cafe with very friendly staff, reasonable prices featuring delicious drinks and pastries

Coffee okay. Bathroom and service left a bit to be desired.
Best coffee in town and I drink Starbucks every day and will continue to only because of the attitude of the employees the place is amazing. The coffee is amazing, but the people are ruder than I have ever been anywhere so starbucks win it by 100%. also, they’re scam is if you order a dirty chai, they don’t give you the shot and then they recharge you this guy should never work in public service and the blond from yesterday was just as rude

Real gem, somehow manages to be both off the beaten track and attract a bustling crowd of UW types. Plus, when you order 12oz ice latte you really *get* 12 oz of latte, with a scoop of ice on top, not a cup of ice with some latte on top. Definitely good value!
My favorite cafe to study at. It looks small at first but there is seating upstairs and in a room right of the counter. It has the best vibes, featuring a cozy atmosphere and alternative music. Every barista is nice and fit the energy of the cafe. The food is good, I recommend the pesto tomato roll. The coffee is also amazing, I like that each espresso drink has a minimum of two shots. I tried the house blend drip coffee and it’s super good too. Make this your next place to study !
The coffee here is regularly good. They have super sweet drinks and also strong, darker coffee for people with different tastes. They get their food from bakeries and it always tastes fresh. Sometimes it's extremely loud though with both the music and everyone talking, so if you need to study, maybe go somewhere else.

Hip friendly cafe with staff who care about their customers. I was visiting from Switzerland, and they made me feel so welcomed!
Holy crap this is good coffee. Best latte in town. so fun that it’s a special Seattle spot and bonus points for having several outdoor tables.
Steal my heart: while I was enjoying my coffee an older gentleman who appeared to be unhoused came in. Immediately the person behind the bar says hi and calls him by his name. They bring out 2 baskets of yesterday’s pastries and snacks and offers him what he likes. The man grabs a newspaper and has a lovely breakfast. This is Seattle. ♥️
A classic college town coffee place, hidden in the back alley, vibrant with students and school professionals, serving good coffees and sugary stuff. Such a gem.
The best spot for reliable coffee at reasonable prices near UW.
The iced coffee and the roasted beans where great. Convenient and accesible.
