Absolutely incredible Ethiopian food!! Cafe Soleil is now one of our favorite restaurants in the Seattle area, and we were happy to learn the owner has been serving amazing food here for 30+ years. We'll be visiting anytime we're in Madrona :) Thank you!

No nonsense breakfast spot for the weekend. Tasty frittata, well dressed salad, crunchy bread. Big hot bold Americano. Neighborhood gem and a great alternative if hi-spot’s wait is long, btw. :)

Three total amateur kids, probably high schoolers, making absolutely the worst coffee I've had in ages and incredibly mediocre food. Service is painfully slow, food eventually arrived but without cutlery, asked for salt and pepper and it never came, asked for sugar and it never came, gave me a water glass with two large chips in it. The so-called cappuccino tasted like just was burnt filter coffee instead of espresso, and I can fluff milk far better on my home machine than the watery bubbly mess that turned up in my cup. Very disappointing, will not be back.

My wife and I were excited to dive into Ethiopian cuisine, and we stumbled upon this charming spot that exceeded our expectations! From the moment we walked in, the vibrant ambiance and warm, courteous service made us feel right at home. The culinary experience was nothing short of spectacular; every bite was bursting with flavor. I savored the lamb tibes, which was perfectly seasoned, while my wife enjoyed the delightful potato ke’yi w’et. Both dishes were served with bread that added an incredible dimension to the meal. We left with full bellies and happy hearts, already counting down the days until our next visit!

I was out for a motorcycle ride and did not bring my wallet. Lou, one of the servers, actually paid for my coffee. Incredible service. Thank you Lou!

What a treat! Such a great little find for great breakfast/brunch. Beautiful setting as well with the amazing food.
Incredible food. Incredible service. Truly a gem of a place. We will be back!!
Cozy restaurant with great service, and absolutely delicious food. Will definitely go back!
Been going here for years on the weekends. We always order the scramble with our choice of ingredients so I can't speak to anything else but we enjoy the scrambles and the potatoes very much. The service is always great and friendly and the owner is always tjere cooking and saying Hello. They have a special scramble on occasion with tortellini in it that's super tasty. I also love the chicken sausage they use.
