Great place to get your morning coffee and work from! They have good breakfast options too.

Latte was okay, the goal wasn’t very fine. Chocolate croissant came flat(I’m not sure why) but it tasted great so I forgave it. Latte came with a piece of chocolate which is nice. Atmosphere is modern and clean. There are a couple of booths available

Excellent service, limited outdoor seating, so Greg and I went for a stroll over the bridge to the lawn around Museum of History and Industry. Beautiful views over South Lake Union and so fun to see the waterplane traffic - we were even on time to greet friends from Evening Magazine 🤭

I judge Cafe's by three things: Their house brand coffee and Mocha, Their food and whether it's made in house or resell and finally, The vibe

Cafe Umbria is a nice middle ground; a good pick-me-up for any tedious work day.

Coffee: Solid, I judge stores based on their Mocha and house-roast. Umbria is fair on both ends.

Baked goods: Macrina Bakery is the standard re-sell for most places in WA which is not bad, I enjoy Macrina but I prefer in house made items (a la kirkland bakery)

Food: solid small bite selection from wraps, croissants to subs. I can't tell if they're made daily here but they look like it and they taste really good. Great place for a 30min lunch.

Vibe: super chill, recaptures the Grey aesthetic starbucks uses but in a way where its so welcoming that it's like you're in a boba shop. Matching white, Grey and black colors with lo-fi music and the sounds of coffee machines, fridges and cars. I really like the vibe.

Overall, solid spot to go to. If I'm in the area, I would definitely go here over starbucks. The only negative is pricing but it's in westlake so that's a given - don't go here everyday or you'll go thru the money you just made in 8 hours haha.

Stars don't mean anything - I recommend it (4 for Macrina resell)

👍👍👍👍

The nicest baristas in Westlake, easily. They usually have pretty good music on. Chill place to get some work done.

Our first time order at Umbria Seattle consisted of one espresso and one caffè mocha.. Gusto Crema Blend - “The perfect espresso blend producing a thick golden crema and a rich, distinctly Italian flavor profile.” Great coffee and service here at Westlake . We left w 2 bags of beans

Ordered two lattes and two pastries (no meat) for 25$ which is a bit on the expensive side. Matcha latte is great but oat latte is just ok (tasted a bit over roasted). It’s such a shame that they can’t warm the pastries. I took the pastries home and warmed them myself - was much better!!

Their dark roast is the best. I used to love their pour overs but somehow they made a price adjustment and it increased so much it wasn't really worth it anymore.

The staff is amazingly sweet. They always serve their coffees with a perfect piece of dark chocolate.

If I'm not buying a cup, I'm usually buying a bag of dark roast to make it at home. It really is smooth and the best.

They serve one of the best espresso in Seattle. Unlike many places here, the coffee is not sour but balanced and tasty. Pastries are ok. Unless several time emphasized, you'll get a paper cup not a proper ceramic cup.
