I attended Hitchcock Hotel on 10/9. From the moment I walked in the door, staff were. super friendly. For the Caberet portion, Monet was my server. I was solo for the show and she was very kind, attentive, and helpful with me making suitable dietary choices. The food was delicious. The show was incredible, with all six dancers/singers putting on a wonderful performance. The vibe was they were all besties once the show ended. Idk if that is the case, but it definitely appeared that they enjoyed performing together.

I had seen the Can Can Cabaret many years ago and recently decided to take my partner, who had never been. We arrived and were immediately seated. The Can Can’s motto, “there’s no bad seat in the house,” is largely true, you can see most of the stage, but because the seats aren’t elevated, if you’re behind the catwalk, performers are partially blocked by those seated in front, so you only see them from the waist up.
We saw The Hitchcock Hotel. The stage is very small, which gives an intimate vibe, or a slightly claustrophobic one depending on your perspective, but we didn’t mind being packed in together. They performed a rendition of “Sweet Transvestite” from The Rocky Horror Picture Show, giving the show a Rocky Horror-esque feel. Personally, it left me wanting a bit more, as the dancers can only do so much with certain repeated routines, like unhooking brassieres, before it starts to feel predictable. That said, these are not weak performers, the dancers are strong, but the choreography did start to feel a little stale after the second intermission. The two main vocalists are very strong and nothing to turn your nose at, they definitely brought energy and professionalism to the show.
The food was okay. The crème brûlée wasn’t very caramelized and felt small for $14. The fries were bland and soggy. We also tried the croissant beignets, which were fine but nothing remarkable. We didn’t raise any food concerns with the server, as we were there for the show. On a scale of 1-10, I’d rate the food a 6.
The Freak Show white wine was delicious. The house red, which we tried second, didn’t suit our tastes, so we left about half the bottle. While the show ended before we finished, the server offered to let us finish our drinks in the dressing room bar while they cleaned up the main area, which was a little disappointing since photos aren’t allowed during the show. After spending upwards of $300 on tickets, appetizers, and wine, we would have appreciated the option to linger longer for pictures. That said, the high ticket price does reflect their commitment to paying staff livable wages, which is commendable.
The show ends with performers mingling with guests and collecting tips in top hats. We weren’t aware of this at first but tipped graciously. We’re unsure if these tips are pooled among performers and the front-of-house staff, we tipped both separately. Our server was excellent, and overall there were no major complaints.
We enjoyed ourselves, but we likely wouldn’t recommend the Can Can Cabaret to friends or family who are frequent theater, burlesque, or drag-goers. On a 1-to-5 scale, we’d give it 3 stars. If you’re in town, it’s worth checking out, but perhaps eat beforehand.

A reasonably fun experience for special occasions. Food was better than expected, but not phenomenal. The show was quite interactive with the audience, with a somewhat contrived storyline.

I cannot recommend this place enough. I have been twice so far and want to take everyone I know to experience CanCan. If you are on the fence about spending the money for VIP ....DO IT DO IT DO IT!!! The food is amazing and the drink and food menu changes to match the theme of the show. The performers are a DREAM and so amazingly talented. There is not a bad seat in the house!
