Amazing culinary experience! Great food, great wine, great service. And getting photo-bombed by Aisha Ibrahim, executive chef extraordinaire, was an added bonus! Thanks for making my wife’s birthday so special. :-)

Sadly, I just didn’t love the menu offerings when it was time for our reservation. Unfortunately, to snag a reservation you really have to be on it to even get one. The menu changes often so there’s no way to know in advance if it’s a menu you’re interested in or not. We tried a couple times to get a reservation for a menu we were really interested in but never could. So that was pretty disappointing. I didn’t like any of the food items from the menu but loved all the amuse-bouche items. BUT for the price you should love the menu items. For example, sablefish was an item and while cooked really well, it was soooo very fishy it was off putting. It was wrapped in cabbage that was bland and so was the weird brown grainy sauce with it. I was also surprised that the wagyu was so tough and hard to eat. Yes, I know this is a fattier cut but usually it melts in your mouth! The service is absolutely amazing, though!

This establishment sets the bar in the Seattle area. Do not miss an opportunity to go.

Walked in and sat at the bar for the walk in lounge menu.
- scallop toast was so buttery and delicious
- lamb Tsukune was flavorful as well
- tempera cod was delicately fried but a little bland
- canlis burger was decently sized and juicy but not fell a little short of expectations

The restaurant overall has an amazing view of the city though. Good vibes.

Moving from Seattle and wanted to have one last epic dinner before I left. Camille ( server ) and the rest of the staff are absolutely top notch. From the moment you step in they go above and beyond to treat you like a VIP. Bartender knew I was moving and gave me a pour of amazing bourbon. Every course and snack were 10/10. The one thing that did shock me, from previous visits years ago, was the lack of people adhering to or enforcement of dress code for me. So many t shirts/jeans/casual wear. Curious what changed but didn't take away from a memorable evening.

We took our teen kids for the first time. They were amazed, and we had a loving and gratitude-filled dinner. Canlis is a true experience.

I brought my girlfriend here to experience Seattle fine dining at its best.

Our expectations were completely shattered! A kind valet met us at the entrance and took care of the car while we were welcomed into a beautiful space, decorated by an elegant dark color scheme and perfectly illuminated by dimmed, romantic lighting.

Holden, our waiter, acted as our tastebud steward on this journey of flavors that transcended our imagination and twisted reality in the most pleasant way.

The wagyu was spectacular, the teriyaki mushroom was unbelievable… after we order our main courses, we were introduced to one of the sommelier’s, Daniel, who paired us with the perfect bottle of white wine to delight the palate and enhance the mood.

Not only that, we booked at perfect time, we got to see the light fade from the bay and watched a full moon from our window side table.

Next level, is an understatement… come here to be stunned and blown away with amazing taste and royalty-class service!

Wow!!

Wow! Over the top!
Service was next level!! The atmosphere was just absolutely fantastic.
We had a private dining experience. Passed appetizers were unique, delicious and wonderful. Cocktails were spot on. My dinner was good to great; not spectacular.
I did not pay, so I cannot comment on price. But it’s definitely a one of a kind experience.

Went here years ago and after years of reflection I have to say this, at a minimum, deserves a Michelin star. It's ridiculous that I've now been to so many places all over the world and I keep telling people about Canlis. The service is top notch, the food is amazing, and the view was so cool. I'll say that the price is ok for "once in a blue moon" since it was over 500 for two people and that's the only downside but they really do a great job of making you feel that that money went a long way. I also love reading about how well they treat their staff and focus on sustainable practices. We'll be back one day.

I'd always known about Canlis but was uncertain if 'the hype' was real. After dining there I can assure you - it is real. One of, if not the best, meals I've had in this hemisphere. Simply something one must do in their life at least once (but hopefully many more).
