I was craaaaving congee with liver (lived in China for years and missing that taste of my second home!) and this was an absolutely wonderful meal. My sisters and I devoured our dishes and shared veggies. Such a familiar dish and so flavorful.
Alright, so this place is a bit of a dive. BUT, they do have the best chicken congee. I’ve been coming here since my college days in the early 2000’s and the food hasn’t change. The price has, but the food hasn’t. Still worth coming for chicken congee.
Amazing Wontons! If you are a lover of wontons, then this little hole in the wall is a must!
As well as the tasty wontons, the soup base is awesome.
I usually get the Wonton Soup, then add the wide rice noodles. If you get the large bowl, you get 17! The small bowl you get 10.
A must visit this little ma and pa restaurant is a little gem in the heart of the International District.
