My friend brought me to her local comfort food take out spot and we were greeted by the friendly owner who immediately offered us a sample of the corn meal coated catfish with tartar, and it was really very delicious. We ordered a full meal of a pound of catfish, some hush puppies and fries, and some lobster Mac and cheese. He was very helpful offering up his best menu items and supplying plenty of consents and gave us several discounts and made us feel like we got special treatment. The fish and fries were good and the hush puppies and cornbread were tasty, although the Mac and cheese was not our favourite this time. The takeout was also open quite late, 2:30am he said, so it was really nice to be able to get a great late night nosh

I didn’t even want to give a 1 star. This food I had today 8/25/21 was so horrible for the amount of money I paid. The catfish was not seasoned and it was hard around the edges, the French fries were not seasoned and soggy and some were hard. I can make better macaroni out the box than what I had and they said that was lobster macaroni but I beg to differ. They had no potato salad or red beans and rice and I’m glad I didn’t get it because that was probably nasty too

Owner was very hospitable. The place is certified halal as well. Food was amazing and fried well! Will visit again!!!

This place has the best catfish, and he served okra as well. We are from Spokane Wa and there is no where to get some home cooking catfish. It was so yummy. I would drive the 300 miles to get some of that catfish. It. a must try if your craving some catfish. If your in Seattle Wa he hiring

NOT A VIABLE BUSINESS. They don't have most of what's on the menu, "substitute" whatever they do have, and blame it on delivery drivers. I probably would have even still ordered something if I'd been apprised of the situation-- the owner is obviously struggling. But instead he threw a bunch of random food into some boxes, (probably) lied to the delivery driver, didn't answer the phone when I called about getting the wrong order (VM box full, natch), and when I went down there, lied to my face and offered to give me more of the food I didn't want in the first place. He gave me some free mac salad and promised a refund, but I expect nothing. Would have been fine if he'd been honest from the jump, but this is just bad business. Don't order from here unless you're standing in the building and can see what you're getting.

I was stupid excited to try this place. My partner and I Door Dashed it. The lobster Mac was $15 and I wouldn't pay $3 for it. It was super over cooked. There was no seasoning at all, not even a speck of salt to be found. They listed it as 3rd party which now I understand means it's just box Velveeta shells with cheap shredded lobster tossed in at random. It's like what you would expect from a hospital cafeteria. They even forgot my baby's hush puppies so she is eating my partner's cold catfish. To the drive through I guess.

I found a cooked spider in my okra, fish was undercooked, mac and cheese was overcooked and cold. I wouldn't even let my dog eat what I couldn't.

Do not waste your time, went to Skyway for take -out order on August 13th 2021, Some kind of Dry fish that was maybe Catfish, No rice in the Red Beans and rice, NO hush puppies(this being at 4:00 in afternoon) said they were OUT ! NO Collard Greens that are clearly shown on-line menu, but to our dismay, NOPE on the in-store Menu. Okra that was supposed to be Deep-fried, had a sprinkling of corn meal on it. Yup ya fooled me once with your sub-standard performance, BUT , I can Guarantee your will never get another cent of my Money ! ! !

I was expecting more flavorful catfish but the greens were good the cornbread is more like corn cake. The hush puppies were OK. They may forget some items so be sure to check. Staff was polite.

I remember coming here some time ago and was disappointed in the quality that the original Catfish corner(Cherry & MLK to the new folks) established. Same exact issue happened to Ezels when they sold there business and franchised it. At the very least, the orginal Ezels(23rd & Jefferson) still has a similar taste before the franchised it out. The problem with selling your vision is that the buyer will change your vision and both restaurants reflect it. I gave it three for they at least kept the original name... ?

I ordered from here once after the ownership changed hands and agree it had gone downhill. I figured they were working out the kinks and wanted to give it another go after they had time to get their stuff together. I didn't even get inside because the exterior of the place is FILTHY AND DISGUSTING. Literally, I kid you not, an old toilet sitting feet away from piles of their kitchen mats, MOUNTAINS of trash overflowing outside of their dumpster reeking the whole place up, broken chairs, trash, just everywhere in a 20' radius of their building! If you don't have respect for your storefront, I can't even imagine what the kitchen no one can see looks like. Clearly, they have no concept of cleanliness. Yuck yuck yuck!

The worst seafood ever! We placed an online order when visiting the area. I ordered catfish and my husband ordered the shrimp. Our GrubHub driver contacted us to let us know that they were out of catfish so I ordered the shrimp as well. The shrimp was way overcooked and very tough. The french fries were commercial frozen french fries, not freshly prepared. And the very tiny packets of tarter sauce were watery and had little taste. Because we had been traveling all day and hadn't eaten, we ate the food anyway. Stay away from this place!

After going several times and the restaurant was closed, we finally caught it open. This was our first and last time going there. The fish lacked flavor, freshness, and it was over cooked. The cornbread muffins was extremely hard, dry, and chewy. How do you make cornbread chewy? I am very disappointed because I have heard so many good things about this place. The customer service was amazing, but I didn't pay to eat the customer service. I just moved here from Texas and I was really looking forward to some southern style fish. I’ll have to keep looking.
